The eye degeneration phenotype (appearance of melanotic spots, fusion of ommatidia) characteristic for adult flies expressing TBPH^{Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG} under the control of Scer\GAL4^GMR.PU is exacerbated further by co-expression of sqd^GD8593.

The reduced climbing ability of adult flies heterozygous for TBPH^Δ23 and also expressing TBPH^{dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa} (together with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency) driven by Scer\GAL4^elav.PU is strongly enhanced by co-expression of sqd^GD8593.
