Hola! My name’s Jackie, although I've gone by a few others throughout the years, so call Sakura, MG-chan, Jessenia or just Jess. I’m 31 and was born in Chile, though I’ve been living in the States for over twenty years. I graduated from Lone Star College in 2007 with a degree in Graphic Design. Currently living at home with my family. After a lot of ups and downs on the job scene I eventually found my way into becoming an English to Spanish translator for the Oil and Gas industry. Had I'd known that I'd probably would've made Spanish my major, but what the hell; I love it, and though it can be challenging, I have learned a lot and revived my use of Spanish.
I like Anime quite a bit and there's plenty of series that I've enjoyed over the years since I was a kid. Lately, I've been going back to revisit old memories like Candy Candy, and my eternal love, Genjyo Sanzo from Saiyuki Reload by Kazuya Minekura - he still remains my all-time favorite male, followed by the ever-young Ash Ketchum from Pokémon. That said, I'm a general poke-nut and after years of poke-mania I still adore Pokémon both the anime series and video games. I've lost the count of how many years it's been, but still I love Ash, Pikachu, Lucario, and too many other Pokémon characters to count remain favorites.
I haven't updated in years, but there's something about the nostalgia of LJ and the days of real blogging I miss.
You get what you read: that's who I am. I love videogames and mmorpgs, especially World of Warcraft and Guild Wars so I occasionally post screenshots of my characters and game play. I carry my Nintendo 3DS everywhere, either playing upcoming Pokémon games, like Pokémon X/Y or Animal Crossing: New Leaf, my other favorite. In the end, I turned out to not be a big boys love/yaoi AT ALL- nothing against it but I will say when it comes to Saiyuki I'm not feeling anything else other than bromance, so I do feel a bit wary about BL when it comes to Saiyuki. In the end, I lean towards whatever is cannon in a series be it het, BL, whatever. I will write tidbits in Spanish— as it's my native tongue and I’m proud to speak it. Nowdays I'm not really that active posting on my LJ but I keep it to participate in communities and out of nostalgia. Feel free to follow me @flowermiko over on Twitter.
Why "Flower Miko"? Simple. I love Japan and it's culture, hence why I take on being Sakura and a Miko priestess on LJ. Yes I'm sure there's plenty of others running around this place but screw it. What else about me? I'm pretty easy going, cheerful and friendly person. I can be very thoughtful when I write and put in deep thoughts. I'm very close to my family and proud of them. It's something I value very much, and it's not just my immediate family, but those I've build tight bonds with over the years, my friends. That said, welcome to my world.

For right now I’m keeping this journal open but it might become friends only as I see fit. I’m pretty casual about befriending others, but please drop me a comment first so I know you want to friend me. Otherwise feel free to comment and share a friendly chat.
Bishounen Love
This is where I introduce my favorite characters I frequently talk about. I'm sure they're all fairly well known but for anyone that's unfamiliar have a peek and get an idea of why these boys are love ♥ (and hotness!)
Genjyo Sanzofrom Saiyuki Reload: Ah, Sanzo, Sanzo. The obsession that fills my mind day in and out. To think I didn't like him at all!! When I got into Saiyuki I was looking to entertain myself with something new. Quickly I realized I couldn't keep my eyes off him, merely from watching three Gunlock episodes. After some 'denial' Sanzo became my main bishie love. So he smokes, drinks, gambles, has a temper from hell...and a Buddhist priest? Not usually what I'd go for, but as they say, the badder, the better. There's a lot more to Sanzo than meets the eye. He is loyal, a leader, and cares about those close to him, especially Goku. I can relate to him a lot. To sum it up, Sanzo is a walking contradiction, but nonetheless one sexy badass mofo and I wouldn't have him any other way. Love you my monk ♥
Yami Yuugifrom Yu-gi-oh!: Once my greatest obsession, until a certain blonde priest came along. But I can't totally forget about him. Yami Yuugi, or Pharaoh Atemu, sacrificed his soul and bound it to the millennium puzzle to save his kingdom from the shadow games 3,000 years ago from present time. Always preferring to call him 'Yami' he's cool, calm, and cunning-- hey he is the King of Games for a reason. Very few have best him in a game (Yuugi being one of the them during the Ceremonial Battle). No matter what trick you pull on Yami, he'll catch on and find a way to win against all odds. If you're a gal looking for some good card-game fun or any types of games (and a sexy boyfriend) Yami will definitely make a great and interesting guy. One of the top bishies in my book.
Son Gokufrom Saiyuki Reload: Strange enough, I liked him before Sanzo. In fact, the only reason I was watching Saiyuki at first was because of Goku. Well, he is cute, funny, a bottomless pit, innocent, very sexy when as Seiten Taisei, and a stupid monkey full of energy. Let’s not forget that he is ALWAYS HUNGRY! But it makes him all the more lovable. I can't see why some find him annoying but then again I have a soft spot for cuties. Goku and Sanzo seem to have a father-son relationship and Sanzo does care about Goku a lot though I doubt he'll ever admit it. But hey, being a 39 fan I'm still hoping ;D Ahem, back to the saru-chan, you definitely don't want to mess with his Seiten Taisen form. In short, my favorite baka saru that I love to fanwhap. Go you cutie!
Ash Ketchum (Satoshi)from Pokémon: Believe it or not, I like yari-boi. He's been traveling around the Pokémon world for more ten years, yet he still looks like the 10 year-old that left Pallet Town in 1998. You'd think he's 15 or 16 at least. He tends to be rash at times, though he's come a long way since the earlier anime episodes. Ashy-boi is very loyal to his Pokémon and has love for all of them, especially Pikachu. I'm a dork for Ash/Pikachu, Ash/Lucario (I want him to get one!) moments and I easily cry when I catch them on TV. He won't stop until he becomes a Pokémon master, but with PKMN's never ending popularity it'll be years before we see that. I admire Ash for his courage and determination to keep going no matter what, plus who wouldn’t dream of a chance to travel the world? Go Ash, go!
Masahirofrom Shounen Onmyouji: Mago yuuna!! Poor Masa-chan has been called that one too many times by Mokkun (Guren's alternate form). Masahiro is the grandson and true heir of Abe no Seimei, the most renown onmyouji of the time. Masahiro has sworn and wishes to be an onmyouji that protects all that lives. When a young child, he had his "kenki" ability sealed away to protect him from demons trying to kill him. On his thirteenth birthday he's sent on an errand by Seimei to deal with a demon in town. With Guren's help, he's able to release his kenki ability and use it. Masahiro is destined to be great and has promise, but this rookie is gonna Guren's help to get there. Their bond is very unique and even though the circumstances turn for the worse, Masahiro has the will to find a way to protect him.
Guren (Touda)from Shounen Onmyouji: Burn baby, burn! Yes the words fit Guren, said to control the flames of hell. When Seimei was young, he committed a sin-- that is attacked Seimei unwillingly while being possessed. Being shunned away by the other shikigami for this, he bowed and lives to protect Masahiro from as Seimei's heir was, unlike his sibblings, unafraid of the flame god. More often he's seen on his fake form Mokkun, a mononoke-like furry creature when following Masahiro on daily activities. Big, serious, and strong, Guren is a big ball of fluff with a soft spot for Masahiro. Not to say Guren won't be rather brutal if it's to protect Masahiro. However you interpret it, there's a lot of love between these two characters as their bond grows and put to the test. Can we say pairing? Yes! ♥
