(no subject)

Cool(ish) and dry and breezy, so did a coloured wash and hung it on the line. The cherry has its usual little green olive-like fruits, and lots of them, so this may be the last line dry for a month. Tomorrow should be more of same and possibly even cooler, so shall tackle the backyard vines. I cut them back last week and they took that as encouragement to grow another foot, light green fronds waving in the wind. It's a never-ending battle.

Put out the records no one wanted two weeks ago and someone wanted them today, so yay. Someone left the box I had them in, which is also yay, but that's because I include a couple of the reusable cloth bags all stores and food delivery services insist on giving you, to make carrying the records off more convenient. Must pull more records from the bunker, since I'm convinced their weight has contributed to that jerry-built addition's sinking.

Still fan weather because house holds mug, but may get by with just the window fan for the next night or two.

Disposal of unwanted records is difficult, so congrats on having accomplished that! We recently cleared out a few hundred LPs after a pal connected us with someone who resells used records. Found out no one but no one wanted spouse's classical albums, no matter how rare or exalted the performances, while my rock, pop, and folk LPs were in high demand. Whaddaya know.

The record takers have been walking off with my complete Mozarts. I assume these are amateurs who think they can flog them off to your buyer and will be sad to find their mistake. Better them than me, say I.

"Will be sad" may be an understatement. The reseller sold about 400 classical LPs, some of them (I would have thought) rare and collectible, to one buyer (maybe a re-reseller??) for $50. The reseller had prepared us for this result--he's a classical music lover himself, and he's distressed that there's essentially no market for, or interest in, classical music these days. Let's hope your Mozart-takers are carrying the albums away because they're outliers who truly love the music.

I must assume the reseller knows his buyers, but can still hope he just hasn't found the right one. Or indeed that whoever took my records just likes Mozart.
