FLB inspired icons

I know I don't have any icons to share but Francesca is reading this Saturday at Booksoup in LA and I'm wondering if anyone is going to that?

my first two icons ever. they're not FLB, exactly, but the quotes reminded me of FLB and....alexis bledel is so beautiful in a FLB heroine kind of way.

+i just wanted to say how wonderful i find this community. you all provide me with almost daily artistic inspiration, really beautiful images supported by my favorite books. thanks, everyone.

+i need some help. there's an image, that might be on getty images, which i've seen in communities such as this, but i can't find it. it's a photograph of a very thin woman with dark hair on a subway i believe. she's wearing a tshirt and has white feathery angel wings. can anyone give me that picture?

can anyone please explain to me how to make an icon? b/c i dont get it :( pleease id be ever so grateful!!! thanx a bunch !!
