All right, here are some other icons..I also made some essential ones (you know what I'm talking about, the most adorable kiss I've seen on TV) but they are not quite ready yet...Meanwhile enjoy EVEN MORE HEARTS around a 14 year old Tucker James, done by a 24 year old dork.

Ooooh, a dead thread! I like these, it's like really great Holloween candy you forgot about, but stored in a nice, dry area.

I joined LJ a year ago and just decided to log in a second time within the year the other day. So I don't have any clue what 'hotlinking' is, although it does sound like a delicious breakfast.

Anyway, last week I heard of a show called "Flashforward" on ABC and I was thinking, OMG, they'll tarnish anything 90s these days! First 90210, and now the show I was obsessed about in my pre-teens? No one is going to replace Tucker and Becca in my heart!

Luckily, I figured out that 09's "FlashForward" was different from '96 "Flash Forward", thank goodness! I didn't even look at the premise of the current show. I headed straight to Outube-ye and watched this show over and over again. It's more comforting than chicken soup when life is bringin' you down.

So, I decided to combine my favorite activities: watching my old show with new eyes, AND doodling hearts around Tucker James! This is so they see the light of day. Do whatever you want with them. Hopefully I'll come back with more soon because this is SO MUCH fun...

Hey everyone, I know this community is mostly dead but maybe some of you are still reading this...maybe...possibly.

Anyway, I used to be a big fan of Freaks and Geeks, and I was re-watching episodes of Flash Forward recently (after waiting 11 or 12 years to see them, aaaahhhhhhhh!) and noticed a lot of similarities between the two series. I don't know if it's just coincidental in that coming-of-age/school stories share many of the same tropes, but some of the things that happen in the two series are remarkably similar.

For example, basically the same thing happens to Tucker in the first episode of FF and Sam Weir in the first episode of Freaks and Geeks, having to run all over the school naked (or in a towel) as a result of being punked in gym class. And the house party episodes conclude in the same way, with a scheme to get the party-goers to leave by having the cops (F&G) or the "parents" (FF) arrive at the house. And the scene where Kerry Rogers is complimenting Tucker's sweater is fairly similar to a scene in which Kim Kelly pretends to seduce Sam in F&G. There is also a fairly weird "school mascot" episode in each of the series.

The shows also aired only a couple of years apart. I don't see a reason why the creative minds behind Freaks and Geeks would have watched Flash Forward so as to have directly been influenced by it (well, Ben Foster was in F&G, but still), but who knows.

The Tribe is the new movie that Jewel has currently almost finished filming for. It's due to be released in 2007, in cinemas, and has been described as a Lost vs. Island of Dr. Moreau. It features a group of young people seemingly stranded on an island with something else there with them.

Assistant director, Andy Attenhofer, has agreed to take a few questions from the fans on the movie, Jewel, anything. So if you'd like to send a question in please email me - webmaster[at]jewel-staite.net, and i'll be sending them on to Andy. The questions and answers will then be posted at http://jewel-staite.net.

Jewel-Staite.net is currently running a fan scrapbook campaign for Jewel. A scrapbook made by fans for Jewel. This will then get given to Jewel at September's Serenity Cubed.

All the info's at the site but the basic gist is that you can send anything in. Notes, poems, stories, photos, artwork, anything you want, just be as creative as you want.

Hey there.

After getting into Firefly, I found the character of Kaylee oddly familiar. I knew I had seen the actress, Jewel Staite, before. So I went on IMDB and looked for any shows that would spark a memory. And then I hit it - Flash Forward. The memories started pouring in. I remember when Tucker was shut out of the locker room and everyone saw his-"Basketballs". When Tucker slid down a huge mud slide into a flower bed. And the first kiss.

I was eager to watch the show all over again. So I went on Amazon and looked for the existence of a DVD. Except there was none. There wasn't a VHS - at least, I never found one. What a conundrum! I don't use any P2P networks like Kazaa or Emule - I use bittorrent, and even then, if there is a way to legally get the show I want, I'll go that route.

My question is, how do I get ahold of Flash Forward episodes? Is there a DVD or VHS? How did you guys get your recordings?
