I really appreciated how my existing “framework knowledge” was broken down into deeper “why” questions. Instead of just repeating patterns I’d learned in React, I started understanding the reasoning behind them. At multiple points I had genuine “aha” moments—realizing why I’d been writing certain syntax the way I did, not just how. That shift from memorizing patterns to actually understanding the mechanics made a big difference.

I've been studying web dev for around 20 years, and working professionally for over 10 years now. This is the FIRST course I've ever completed. The production quality, entertainment, and depth of knowledge that the people behind the course possess is off the charts. Can't recommend enough to anyone who wants to really feel like they know React and React best practices inside-out.

I've been learning react from scratch with the help of docs and LLMs for the past few months, but both lack in comparison to this course. The visuals, the narration as if it was a story, the little animations when showing code snippets, i loved it all and helped the content stick, even for someone barely starting on react like me. Can't wait to see what they do in the future! Maybe a course for Tanstack Router next 😉

As a backend dev, JavaScript has always been an extra language I've needed to use alongside a primary backend language. And as such I've had to dip in and out over the years. Most of the 'explaining JS' content online just about keeps my head above water. However, Tyler's teaching style and ability to take you through the history of the language, has made so many questions marks and gotchas evaporate! Tyler is a master of the language AND a talented teacher. Awesome!

Well, it's technical, so it doesn't give you "the mental model of React", but it isn't trying to. It really changed my neural pathways. Especially the reimplementing hooks part -- something clicked in my brain about 2/3 through and now I "think in hooks" and know the idiomatic way of implementing functionality in modern React, which is: hooks. Most everything should be a hook. It's easy to say, but that's not enough, you have to really mean it -- which this course forces you to do.

What I liked: - Concise and updated content; - Lessons in both text and video formats; - Quizzes; - Questions panel with actual responses; What I think it could be better: - We can't export sandboxes; - More practice. The challenges are good but the lack of projects makes me feel something is missing; - Dedicated module for debugger tool, teaching how to get the most out of it; - More on "good practices" like the one we get in "Handling Errors" lesson.

React Query has been part of my daily workflow for a while now, but this course really helped me use it more effectively. The challenges actually helped solidify the concepts and they're practical and directly applicable to real work. The course structure does a great job of building up from the basics without making it feel slow for those who already use React Query. Definitely worth it if you want to go from just using it to actually mastering it.

React.gg was phenomenal! It establishes a solid mental model and core understanding of React's inner workings. It builds lasting and highly applicable knowledge. Before this course, I took another React course on a major e-platform, built a couple small off-platform projects, and literally a couple months later completely forgot all the material. The "why" behind the "how" in React.gg has made a huge difference.

Building useHooks was a lot of fun, and a great way to practice what you've learned throughout the course. Explanations were clear, and the challenges do a good job of putting you in a "real world" use case for the module. Definitely recommend for anyone trying to get up to speed in React without having to fumble around aimlessly.

This course is with it's weight in gold and came at the perfect time for me. We are migrating a large app from react-query v3 to v5. Not only do I feel more confident with the migration I now have the a super high level of comfort in my ability to move our app away from some suspect pattens and really leverage all the power of react-query. Thanks for this fantastic course!!!

Just wrapped up react.gg — and honestly, it exceeded expectations. The course doesn’t just teach React; it reshapes how you think about building apps. Even with a solid background in React, I found myself pausing often to take notes or rethink patterns I’d taken for granted. The mix of practical challenges, deep dives, and just the right amount of theory makes it incredibly engaging. You’re not just learning what to do — you're learning why it works. Massive kudos to the creators 🙌

This is the best programming course I've ever taken. I love the format, it's really intuitive, and you can choose if you want to see videos, you got them, you also got the audio and the transcriptions if case you prefer to read. Everything is explained from 0 with great examples, and also, it doesn't only explain how to use or apply React Query, but also how was it built and how does it work behind the scenes.

Just finished query.gg—the theoretical part is put together, explained, and delivered absolutely brilliantly. The course provides a clear understanding of what React Query is, why it’s needed, and how to use it most effectively. A few minor issues—really wished I could open videos in full screen with a double click. Also, I often had to reload the page after it had been inactive for some time. Plus, there were some issues submitting certain challenges, but they eventually resolved themselves.
