Wystan (Japanese: ワゼカカ Wazecaca) is a Begnion commander who served in the Imperial Occupation Army in Daein. He commanded a Begnion siege against the hiding place of Pelleas in the Desert of Death, and was confronted by both Pelleas's own warriors and by Micaiah and the Dawn Brigade.

Wystan believed that Daein was doomed to lose any attempts to resist Begnion rule because of their loss in the Mad King's War, claiming that a once-defeated country cannot rise again and that there is no point in trying to change that
