The FIPRESCI is proud to announce that the FIPRESCI Platinum Award 2026 was presented to acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi.
On May 7, during the Opening Ceremony of the 23rd Millennium Docs Against Gravity, a new international award was introduced – the FIPRESCI Documentary Grand Prix. The first recipient of the Documentary Grand Prix is Fiume o morte! by Igor Bezinović.
FIPRESCI Panel Discussion Beyond the Review: Film Critics as Cultural and Political Voices took place at Malmö Arab Film Festival. In this session, critics talked openly about their work beyond the traditional review. Drawing from their experience engaging with films shaped by politics, displacement, and contested histories, they reflected on how criticism can affect how films are seen, understood, and remembered.
