    Shift Break (シフトブレイク, Shifuto Bureiku?) is a recurring ability in the Final Fantasy series, and is an ability originally exclusively used by Zidane Tribal. It is generally a powerful non-elemental attack.

    Main article: Shift Break (Final Fantasy IX)

    Shift Break is an ability used by Zidane when he enters Trance and has the Skill Soul Blade, either mastered or available at the time he is in Trance. Shift Break inflicts non-elemental physical damage to all enemies at 200% of a regular physical attack by Zidane (which is also stronger than normal due to Zidane being in Trance), and costs 16 MP to use.

    Dissidia Final Fantasy (2008)

    Shift Break is a HP Attack for Zidane, initially learned by default. It requires 40 CP to equip (20 when mastered) and 180 AP to master. It can only be used while in the air, is magic-based, has mid ranged priority, is unblockable, and has the Absorb effect on it.

    Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy

    Shift Break is a HP Attack initially learned by Zidane, and functions the same as in the previous game. It requires 130 AP to master and 30 CP to equip (15 when mastered).

    Zidane uses Shift Break.

    Shift Break is an active physical ability that inflicts neutral physical damage on a single target for 8 AP. It has very high topple strength. It can be used by Lann (Noctis's Champion Jewel).

    Final Fantasy Brave Exvius

    Shift Break is an ability usable by Rakish Thief Zidane after using his Limit Burst. It costs 32 MP and deals 9 hits of physical damage with a modifier of 1x, then 1 hit of physical damage with a modifier of 1.5x and reduces ATK by 74% for 3 turns to all enemies. It uses the Stardust Ray chaining family.
