Aetherflow (エーテルフロー, Ēterufurō?) is a recurring ability in Final Fantasy series. It generally restores the resource used for using abilities, like MP.

Aetherflow is an Arcanist ability learned naturally at level 6. It instantly resores 20% of maximum MP to the user and bestows them with a status effect of the same name. It can be recast every 60 seconds.

Aetherflow is an ability learned by Alphinaud. It has a 2 turn cooldown, and restores 350 MP and increases LB gauge by 20 to the caster. In addition, it enables usage of 野戦治療の陣, 不撓不屈の策, and 生命活性法 for 4 turns to the caster.

Etymology

[view · edit · purge]According to ancient and medieval science, aether, also spelled æther or ether, is the material that fills the region of the universe above the terrestrial sphere. In ancient Greek mythology aether was supposed to be the breath of the gods, which formed the air which mortals breathed. The deity Aether is the personification of this idea as well as the upper sky itself.
