2 this weekend and counting. 

#1: lvling 31 sam in the shitadel. rng pulls a beetle. not til me and the other sam have tried to sc for uh... 0 that we notice. it's a chamber beetle. ruuuuuun! (we made it) "where'd that come from?" "i dunno, i saw a beetle chasing someone and grabbed it" meh- points for caring man, but look before you leap. 

#2: helping some buddies with promy holla. "shit aggro"..... yeah that's right, cerebrator aggro. as soon as i notice what it is, i tell everyone "don't blow 2hours cause we need them for boss- if it gets ugly, wipe" amazingly enough, we survive. some are waaaay in red, but no deaths and no 2 hours. and later on we beat promy holla. woot! :D

We've just started a new LS called RavensVanguard and we're looking for members. Right now we don't have too many. Basically, it's a casual LS that we're likely going to use for discussion, and to help each other out with certain things. It's really easy going, and yeah...that's about it.

So if anyone's interested in getting a pearl, see me (Salomaii on the server), Tyvia, or Kerik.

Again, mostly discussions, maybe some little mini statics and helping out with missions, BCNM's etc.

After more than 4 years of playing Final Fantasy XI, it all comes to a final end. Here's to the memories, friends made, and the millions of crabs who had to die for my level 75...

so i think my hdd is dead. 

when i boot up, the icon for it is on the screen, but it's not selectable. if i force selection by pulling out the two memory cards, the icon for the hdd is selected but it doesn't do anything when i press a button. i've checked and doublechecked controllers, it's not that. i've pulled out the hdd/network adapter and given the whole business a good dustbusting, but still nothing. sadly, i don't have the disc that came with it, so i can't run any troubleshooting. i think it must be dead. (it's a bit over 2 years old, and the ps2 itself is old... one of the first-gen ones.)

anybody run into this problem and find a way out of it? or does the way out of it consist of buying a pc/xbox?

it's been months, and we still have a few promy missions to go, but tyv and i got {sea} yesterday! :D
(side note: how funny, we both got sea before sky)

finalfantasy11 was deleted due to the moderator apparently getting fed up. As it is unknown whether or not it will be reinstated, I've gone and made a new home for everyone at ffxi_advanced. Pass the word around . . .
