Whatttt is with the tendency of Tumblr users to seek absolution from every single person who offhandedly posts about disagreeing with something they do

I say this not unkindly, but firmly: to function as a member of a social species, you have to get comfortable with the idea that not everyone will like you

people at the grocery store sometimes do a visible double-take about how many vegetables I’m buying. they look at me probably thinking wow she’s so healthy! it’s ok that she’s also buying donuts! she’s earned them!

you fools. all the produce is for my pet pig. I’m eating donuts for dinner.

an older woman actually stopped me once and told me I must be a great cook because I was just throwing random vegetables in my cart based on price. she was like “gosh! I would need a recipe to know what to do with all of those!”

i do have a recipe. it’s very simple:

ingredients: vegetable

step 1: throw it on the ground.

I do find it interesting that I was stuck doing a huge proportion of the feminized household labor as a child, and spent long stretches of my childhood not allowed to leave my room unless I was doing chores, while my sister was off playing sports and being treated like an actual person by my parents. I actually think showing early signs of transfemininity had a huge impact on my socialization 🙂

the ways adults and peers react to early signs of trans womanhood in a child, imo, go much deeper than the obvious, direct punishments. the people in your life don’t just slap you on the wrist and then move on. they view you as a fundamentally different kind of thing. in my case that thing was less of a person than all my siblings, a thing that could be saddled with household chores so that its siblings had more time to go be people, while it had to stay in its room out of sight

its been said before but every time theres a post that goes around saying dont call transgender women Guys every jackass in a 200 blog radius feels compelled to offer helpful alternatives like [overly familiar and childish phrase] or [a different masculine term] or [the word bitch]

if you cant fathom referring to me with anything other than Man or Goober i think maybe you shouldnt talk to me at all actually

like diva no i am not “just a little critter” actually i am an adult

im none of those things im a woman

“Don’t call a trans woman a guy” “WHAT ABOUT A LITTLE GUY” do they hear themselves. Do TMEs hear themselves. They’ll call us a Thing before they call us a woman

it’s awesome how we live in a world where if a piece of media is good it can never be allowed to finish on its own terms. either cut down before its time or limping along in a hellish state of undeath. sometimes both!!!
