If you haven't heard, Geocities is closing on October 26, 2009. Geocities has played an important role in the history of the Battlestar Galactica fandom. On Fan History Wiki, we want to help chronicle the history of this fandom on Geocities before it is lost forever. We'd love to have you involved.

If you can edit any of the existing articles in the Battlestar Galactica fansites on Geocities category, we would really appreciate it. What role did that fansite play in the fandom? When was it created? When was it last updated? Who did it serve? Where did it move to or why isn't it moving to a new home?

We know that our list of fansites isn't complete. We would love for you to create articles about the fansites we haven't gotten to yet. Template:fansites, Template:fan fiction archives just need to be copy and pasted in to a new article with the name of the article. Then fill out the information and hit save. If you're not comfortable creating an article from scratch, then please edit the information about the fansite (like dates, webmasters, archivists) to the Battlestar Galactica fandom article.

At the end of last week I offered a meme that's been doing the rounds, in which I said I'd give a minimum of three facts about a character in my fandoms - principally BSG, of course.  These aren't canon facts, you undersand, but fanon-- the things I think about as I'm writing the character.  I included my OCs in this.

I got tapped for seven, all in BSG.  Oh there's a surprise!   And there's five facts for each because I'm generous (and never know when to stop writing).

Waaay back in March, we did a little anon challenge on the BSGSlash list and although I can confidently say this isn't the greatest story ever told, I have put it up om the Dome anyway.  If you want to read it, it's here : http://celestialdome.com/Fiction/S…

The challenge was either illness/injury or caught in the act. Well, this is Starbuck with spots (sort of) and he and Apollo do get 'caught' sharing a bed. Sharing a sickbed, to be accurate, so nothing very interesting naughty happens.  Still, comments will be welcome.

I'm cleaning out all the icons I could find on my hard drive. I know
there are more, but they're hiding from me, for some odd reason that I
cannot fathom. Since this is a clean ot, expect some icons of lesser
quality. I've been going through a phase where I am looking for an own
icon style, hence the huge variety of different icon styles.

Slight question here - don't kill me for it - but are there any good torrents out there to download the original BSG eps? I'd buy them, but it's finding them and getting the money for them that's the problem.
