Flyby Chris question

I'm working on this story, see - well, here: In "Inmate 78", Chris admits that he could have wounded the kid instead of killing him (the Lawless brothers' nephew).  In "Sins of the Past", he kills Eli Joe.

Is there an ep where he shots to wound?  I have a vague memory that there is, but I can't remember which one . . .

Thanks!!

Quick Chris Question

So - we know Chris is a gunslinger - we see it in the way he dresses, the way he carries himself, the way he gets called out by Marshal Bob Spikes, by Don Paulo in "Love and Honor", by the references in the show to his reputation.

But so we actually ever see him in a duel?  I think I must be having a 'bad brain' moment, but other than the scene with Spikes, we don't actually see him in a 'show down', do we?  Don Paulo tries to take his horse, and then through that ep, Chris and A. Martinez compete by shooting fruit out of the sky and shooting JD's hat, but they never draw against each other.

Am I forgetting something?  Help?
Vin and Chris

Title: Destinations

Author: Farad

Universe: OW

Pairing: C/V

Rating: FRAO (adults only)

Notes – special thanks to my awesome betas, Estee and VinTanner2.

For the M7 Fic-a-thon.  My victim-, um, recipient is the wonderful WolfandBoarFics.  Her request:

Character/Pairing: Chris/Vin
Request or prompt: OW Trying not to endanger the others, Chris and Vin slip away to follow a lead Vin's sniffed out that may take them to Ella Gaines' new hideout. (Could be the preparations for the trip, the trip, or the actual rescue, any part or all would be great!)
Rating? Any, as long as Chris and Vin are acknowledged to have a physical relationship. Doesn't have to be explicit, but that would be lovely.
Anything you don't want in the story: threesomes, sexual humiliation

Title: Weaving: Knotting I – The Star Knot - PART 2

Author: Farad

Universe: Old West

Spoilers: Pilot, “Working Girls”

Summary: Chris and Vin – the  first time

Pairing: Chris/Vin

Rating: Ohh – I hate this.  So let’s say, to be on the safe side, Adult NC-17, FRAO (Adults only, right?).

Warnings: Slash, violence, Angry-Chris, passive-Vin.  This is a dark-ish story – grey, two guys having post-battle sex.  Many of you won’t like Chris.  He’s – well, he’s a hard man who’s fighting his feelings.

Beta-ed by the *wonderful* Sara_Merry99 and Jill, two exceptional writers who took time away from their own pursuits to help me out.  Any mistakes are entirely my fault because I probably thought I knew better than they did!

Author’s Note I: As with everything else I’ve written so far in this universe, this is not what I expected.   (See the other three stories so far in this arc, “Weaving: Prophecy or Chance”, “Weaving: Cause or Cure”, and “Weaving: Knotting III – the Half Hitch”.)  But somewhere along the way, things got complicated, and it didn’t go the way it was supposed to.  I think it’s because sex is easy, but love isn’t.

Author’s  Note 2: The Star knot: Star knots are possibly the most interesting and difficult knots to make, but they are arguably the most beautiful of them all. According to Ashley, it was first noted in 1888, although some references suggest it's been around for more than 150 years.  The Celtic Star note is a five-point knot, the emblem of perfection.

Part one of this story is here.
