The Star Trek Big Bang was a Big Bang challenge for the Star Trek franchise and its related RPF fandom, Star Trek RPF, with a minimum writing requirement of 20,000 words.[5] While the big bang is open to any of the Trek series (TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, and ENT), most of the entries tended to focus on the Star Trek: AOS rebooted film.[6]

The last year of the Star Trek Big Bang was 2014. The posting was delayed, [7] and then finally held in February 2015. [8] There were ten days of open posting for the six stories submitted on February 9 through the 19. The schedule and form to sign up for 2015 was posted on August 15, but there were no posts after that on the comm. Two comments on the post asked about what was going on, but there were no answers.

The Star Trek Big Bang was tremendously successful for the years it ran, generating a couple of hundred long stories with beautiful artwork and a fan mix done for each one.
