Ruby Lucas is the Storybrooke alias for Red Riding Hood, also known as Red. She is a fictional character from the Once Upon A Time television series, portrayed by Meghan Ory.

Canon

Red, unlike in the common Little Red Riding Hood stories, is a werewolf, and her red cloak is a magical artifact that prevents her transformation. While she is initially unable to control herself when transformed, she later meets her mother who helps her understand and control her powers.

She is initially shown to have been in a relationship with a blacksmith named Peter, and shows interest in men while on a girl's night, but later falls in love with Dorothy Gale, suggesting that she may be bisexual.
