Canon

Iron Fist first appeared in Marvel Premiere #15 (May 1974) created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane. Danny Rand is a martial arts master and the wielder of a mystical force known as the Iron Fist, which allows him to summon and focus his chi.

MCU

Danny Rand made his first appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the Iron Fist television series portrayed by Finn Jones. He is a main character in The Defenders television series as well.
