Okay, this one is kind of strange, but I don't know of any other place to put it, so...

I've recently discovered that there are quite a few (possibly a ton) of stories on ff.net (and aff.net) that are completed, but are not tagged as such.  Unfortunately, this means that there's no good way for me to track down these stories and thus there's a good chance that I'm missing some great stories that really deserve to be read (and possibly recced).  Thus I turn to you, my wonderful fic finders to point me in the direction of stories that I really should be reading and haven't.

Guidelines:
-ff.net or adultfanfic.net stories only, please.
-Stories must be complete but not labelled as such.
-Stories should be at least 10,000 words.
-No character death (at least not from the main pairing) or unhappy endings, please.
-I was going to list fandoms/pairings, but the list got so long that I figured no one would read it anyway.  If you'd like the list, let me know and I'll edit this post to include it.  (Note: every fandom in the tags is fair game, obviously, but there's a lot more out there that I'm open to.  When in doubt, rec!)

In honor of this week's pretty, pretty icon (thanks, bluespirit_star!), I'm looking for Pretender recs.  I've not had much luck in this fandom, so I'm going to get a little pickier than usual in the hopes of finding something that I can enjoy enough to rec.

1.  Miss Parker/Jarod

2.  Long!  (I'm hoping this will help get past the 'miserable slice of life about how these two hate each other but still have sex' stories which have nearly turned me off of the entire fandom)

3.  Issues and angst are great, but I've watched several seasons of this show and Miss Parker and Jarod clearly do *not* hate each other.  Especially Jarod, who has enough affection and love for eight relationships.  So, please, can there be a little *liking* in their relationship?

4.  Re: above -- please no violence in their sex (if there is sex).  I don't know how many stories I've read where the two hit each other (not BDSM-style, but physically assault each other) during sex and it just doesn't appeal to me.

5.  Happy ending, please!

Years ago, I read a slash or pre-slash story of the Pretender that I'd like to read again. My memory of the details may be off, but here goes. He was in an Eastern seaboard town, possibly the hometown of one of his parents. I believe Jared was there searching for info on his parents, probably his mother. The town had a mysterious, secretive feel to it, but not in the creepy sense, more Us vs. Outsiders. Jarod meets a guy, whose description I recall comparing to James Horn (a guest character on Millennium played by James Morrison). There was repairs or remodeling happening to this guy's house. There was no red notebook, or case. Ms. Parker and posse never appeared. Eventually, Jared left to pursue his course, with the intent of returning. The fic definitely wanted a sequel. Does this ring anyone's bells?

I would also be interested in other Pretender stories. I like crossovers, but am not into het with Ms.P or slash with Lyle or Sydney.
