Syracuse was a pre-War city in the former state of Utah, the site of a confrontation between the New Canaanites and the White Legs.

Joshua Graham mentions the city to Salt-Upon-Wounds, right before he is about to execute him. He says that the New Canaanites warned the White Legs at Syracuse, but the White Legs persisted.[1]

A real-world city of the same name exists in Utah. It is located between the eastern shores of the Great Salt Lake and Interstate 15 in Utah.
