“The more time I spend talking to you, the less I'm spending watching for Raiders. How the hell did you get up here, anyway?”
Stockholm is the gate guard for the entrance to Megaton in Fallout 3.
Background[edit]
Stockholm serves as a gate guard for Megaton, watching for threats such as Raiders from the guard tower.[1][2][Pub 1] He enjoys the sun on his back, but dislikes dealing with "slightly radioactive grit" from dust storms.[Pub 1] He also visits Moriarty's Saloon, as he owes a tab of 8 Caps.[3]
If the Lone Wanderer manages to reach the guard tower to speak with him, he will question "How the hell did [they] get up here?"[2]
Publications[edit]
“Stockholm is the Megaton gate guard and actually spends his time outside the city, manning the guard tower at the main gate. He is 25 and loves the sun on his back, but he isn't quite as happy with the slightly radioactive grit from dust storms in his mouth.”— Fallout 3 Official Game Guide/Wasteland Census

Notes[edit]
- Two versions of him exist; one is placed on the catwalk inside Megaton, and the other on the catwalk in the wasteland outside the town.
- He can be reached by using the tcl console command, by targeting him with a melee attack in V.A.T.S., or by accessing the roof of Lucas Simms' house and scaling the walls.
- Stockholm, along with Deputy Weld, can be killed by the Brotherhood of Steel during the unmarked quest Wastelander Water Request.
Appearances[edit]
Stockholm appears in Fallout 3.
Bugs[edit]
- Like many Megaton residents, Stockholm can fall from his perch. If he is engaged in combat and his health is reduced to less than 10 HP, he will fall and die. Should he survive, his dialogue remains unchanged, even though he is now encountered on the ground. Stockholm's fall will also occasionally follow a path other than down if he is killed, catapulting his body and loot across Megaton.
- If the entire town of Megaton is hostile, entering a building and waiting may make Stockholm come into the building and attack.
- On rare occasions, when first leaving the vault and discovering Megaton for the first time, Stockholm will be on the ground outside the main Megaton doors. His dialogue is the same as it would be if speaking to him on his perch.
