McCarthy is a Brotherhood of Steel paladin guarding a Brotherhood bunker in the special encounter Uprising.
Background[edit]
McCarthy and Paladin Hubert are standing guard outside a Brotherhood bunker during the special encounter, Uprising. The Warrior cannot gain access to it regardless of current rank, the use of Lockpicks, or the Electronic Lockpick. There are a number of dead civilians around the bunker's entrance that the duo have killed because they were trying to gain access to the bunker.

Except for some after battle quotes there is no verbal interaction. When attacked he will take turns with Hubert firing his minigun at the Warrior and their party.
