Jean Simonet or Jean-Sylverre Simonet is a developer who worked at Bethesda Softworks on Fallout 3 as an AI programmer.
Career[edit]
For Fallout 3, Jean Simonet was an AI Programmer who was responsible for working on pathfinding, which he called "quite a challenge" because of how organic the environments and the size variance of NPCs.[Dev 1]
For Fallout 4, he noticed that River would trot along ahead of him and Joel Burgess but consistently look back to and check in with Burgess. This behavior was programmed into Dogmeat.[Dev 2]
