Jay Woodward is a developer who worked at Bethesda Softworks on Fallout 3 as a programmer and on Fallout 4 and Fallout 76 as a gameplay programmer. In the updated credits for Skyline Valley, he was listed as additional gameplay programming. He was also credited on Fallout: The Board Game as a playtester.
Biography[edit]
Woodward graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and studied Entertainment Technology at the university from 1999 to 2001.[Ext 1]
Career[edit]
Woodward joined Bethesda in January 2007 as an AI Programmer after a stint at Rockstar Games from November 2002 to September 2006 in the same position.[Ext 1]
Fallout Series[edit]
For Fallout 3, Woodward's focus was non-combat AI and the AI Package system, which included the Escort, Follow, Guard, Patrol, Sandbox and Use Weapon packages.[Ext 2] For Fallout 4, he was one of the developers who worked on Dogmeat's fetch mechanic.[Dev 1]
