Commander Jabsco, also known as "Jetting Jabsco",[Pub 1] is the leader of the Talon Company mercenary organization in Fallout 3.
Background[edit]
Jabsco serves as the leader of the Talon Company mercenary group, and claims to have distinguished himself in combat numerous times. His men have seen no evidence of these claims as he remains within Fort Bannister, planning Talon Company operations.[Pub 1] Jabsco has a tendency to flee engagements which turn against him, causing his detractors to nickname him "Jetting Jabsco."[Pub 1]
Commander Jabsco operates out of the Fort Bannister commanding officer's quarters, and is protected by Talon Company mercenaries and guards. Unlike other Talon Company mercenaries, he wears Metal Armor and a Talon Combat Helmet, a unique piece of armor. When engages in long range combat, he uses a Missile Launcher, while in close quarters he switches to a Chinese Pistol sidearm and Occam's Razor, a unique combat knife.

Notes[edit]
- He will sound an alarm upon losing 25% of his health, resulting in two Talon Company Guards spawning behind the Lone Wanderer. Their height is downscaled to 0.80.
- He will activate a nearby Mister Gutsy upon losing 75% of his health.
- Killing him before completing the Take it Back! main quest will prevent the occurrence of a special encounter in the Broken Steel DLC, in which Paladin Jensen and a squad of Brotherhood of Steel paladins launch an attack on the Talon Company forces around Fort Bannister.
Bugs[edit]
- Jabsco's script to give him Occam's Razor has some oversights that makes it possible for it not be added to his inventory if he dies from enough damage in one attack to kill him while he has over 75% health, such as a reverse-pickpocketed explosive or a sneak critical attack.

Nor are they likely to; Jabsco plans attacks on all foes from a bunker deep within Fort Bannister. Face him with considerable force, and you may see why his critics have dubbed him “Jetting Jabsco” for his tendency to flee combat."
