Interior Cell is a type of location.
Gameplay[edit]
Cells are what makes up the entire playable game world. As the player moves around, cells are loaded and unloaded from the game to save on memory and performance.
There are two types of cells, Exterior Cells and Interior Cells. Exterior cells belong to World Spaces, and seamlessly join to one another in a huge continuous landscape. Interior cells have no landscape, and can only be accessed by the player if they are linked to another cell with a load door, interiors can be composed of multiple cells broken up by load doors or exist as one large cell.
Interior cells are entered through a load door linked to another cell (interior or exterior). When in an interior, the exterior world is no longer visible. Each interior cell is essentially its own world space.
Appearances[edit]
Interior Cell is a subtype of location in Fallout 3 and in Fallout: New Vegas.
