Grognak the Barbarian is a fictional character and the protagonist of the Grognak the Barbarian franchise.
Background[edit]
Grognak is a fictional character created by Hubris Comics. He is a barbarian warrior who travels through ancient lands, battling various fantastical monsters and villains, such as the villain Grelok. He is depicted wearing an outfit consisting of a green waistcloth with brown boots and gloves. He wields a battle axe.
His adventures involve interactions with mystical powers. In one adventure he was brought back from the dead,[1] and in another he was possessed by a being known as Ragnarök, becoming the unstoppable Grog-Na-Rök.[2]
In addition to his own series, he appeared regularly as a member of The Unstoppables, a superhero team made up of other Hubris Comics legends such as the Silver Shroud and Manta Man. Grognak appeared as a playable character in Don't Be Bored Games Company's Unstoppables ShiNdig.
Grognak the Barbarian and the Ruby Ruins was a Saturday morning television cartoon, sponsored by Sugar Bombs.[3]

Behind the Scenes[edit]
Grognak's pose in Fallout 3 (and the cover of the issue "In the Lair of the Virgin Eater" in Fallout 4) shares the same pose as the class art of the Barbarian from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, another Bethesda game.[Ext 1]
