The Exodus is a post-War event mentioned in Fallout and Fallout 3.
Background[edit]
On October 27, 2077, Captain Roger Maxson led the remaining United States Army soldiers and their families away from the Mariposa Military Base, toward a bunker in Lost Hills.[1] The group was repetitively attacked by bands of marauders during their journey, and while the soldiers were protected by their Power Armor, their families and civilians were not, resulting in high casualties.[2]
Captain Maxson's wife died during the journey and a group of soldiers broke off and headed south, but were not heard from again.[6][7][5] At Lost Hills, Roger Maxson formed the Brotherhood of Steel and established it as their headquarters.[5] During the exodus, a separatist group led by D. Allen split off from the main one, and against Maxson's wishes set out for The Glow in hopes of recovering technology stored there.[8][9]
