The Excavator is a vehicle found in the Mojave Wasteland in Fallout: New Vegas.
Gameplay[edit]
Excavators are heavy construction equipment consisting of a bucket and cab on a rotating platform. The platform sits atop an undercarriage with tracks or wheels. The machines are used for hauling large amounts of material from place to place.
Cable-operated varieties are found throughout mining operations in the Mojave. The Quarry Junction mining operation utilizes several of these excavators, setting explosive charges to break up the material, then moving it onto conveyor belts, into dump trucks, or transferring to a dragline.[1]
Locations[edit]
Both excavators are located in Quarry Junction.
Notes[edit]
- It is visually similar to the Bucket Loader with a few differences. The first being that Excavators have a thumb bucket, and Bucket Loaders do not. The second difference is that the Excavator has a metal encasing for the wires that go over the pulley at the end of the boom, while the Bucket Loader does not. Third, there is just a set of wires going through the center of the boom which connects the thumb bucket to the cabin, while the Bucket Loader has a set of wires and a metal rod connecting to its bucket.
Appearances[edit]
Excavators appear in Fallout: New Vegas.
