Merlin; arthur/merlin - castle

Hello There

Well, hello everyone. It's been quite a while! As you may have noticed, I haven't posted anything new here in quite some time. Truthfully I've rather fallen out of fandom in recent years. Recently, however, I've felt the urge to start getting back into writing again. It should be noted that this won't necessarily be in Arashi fandom; most likely future writing here will be focussed around Merlin, Torchwood, Primeval and possibly Doctor Who. There's also the possibility of original fiction (and of course more Arashi, should I feel like returning to it).

Another announcement I have is to do with the makeover this journal has undergone. Previously this community was called scriptual, but I decided that with the change in direction it was time for a new name and a new layout, which I hope you all like!

I believe that's everything said, so all that remains is to say thank you for following this community. It means a lot to me that you enjoy my writing enough to join me, and I hope you'll all stick with me in the future!

Imaginary

It's been quite a while since I last posted anything here - longer than I realised in fact - but here's my je_holiday fic from last year. I'm still on hiatus, because real life has been real and all that, but I remembered that I'd yet to share this. Truthfully, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last (or one of the last) fics I write in the JE fandom, but I may or may not finish some things that I have half written which are still hanging around on my computer, and you may see some fics from other fandoms like Torchwood and Merlin, and maybe Primeval, cropping up on here. I'm not sure yet - what I am sure of is that I have a lot less time to write nowadays. Still, I hope you all enjoy this little offering of fiction, and thank you ever so much for reading my humble additions to the world of JE fic thus far.

Title: Imaginary
Pairing/Group: Arashi, mostly gen with hinted Ohno/Nino
Rating: PG
Words: 6,513
Warnings: N/A
Notes: This is my je_holiday fic for still_ciircee, originally posted here
Summary: 'Ohno could never explain why he enjoys being part of this little world of his so much. Perhaps it's because it's a place of his own, where others can't interfere, or perhaps it's because it's his little secret, that no one else has to know about. Perhaps it's just because the friendships he's forged there, no matter how imaginary, are extraordinary ones which anyone would be jealous of. He doesn't really know why, but his imaginary world is somewhere that Ohno longs to be whenever he can.'

(no subject)

Thank you all for your comments on the fics, I'm always happy to see them! Sadly this post isn't for a new fic - rather the opposite, actually. I've quite clearly not been around much for a good long while, so rather than being awol I thought I should just announce it to make it clear where I'm at.

As of today I'm officially on hiatus until further notice. I'm not sure when I'll be back, but I've been dabbling in other fandoms a bit, and focusing on rl a lot, so I can't see that it'll be any time too soon. That said, please continue to read and comment on the fics, they really are always read and appreciated!

beginnings

Title: Beginnings
Author: saturn_necklace
Pairing: Ohno/Nino
Rating: R
Word count: ~3,100
Genre: Mild angst
Summary: Ohno and Nino never wanted to be in Arashi. They turn to each other when feeling bewildered and alone. It's not a good idea.
AN: Sorry for not replying to comments on the last fic, I'll try to get to that in the next couple of days. We're back to Ohmiya again, I'm afraid, but at least I'm experimenting with different genres. Thank you to floweranza for putting up with me and my spamming of this, and giving me suggestions in a few places I definitely needed it XD;

Rain

Title: Rain
Author: saturn_necklace
Pairing: Sho/Aiba
Rating: PG
Word count: 1,095
Genre: Fluff, AU
Summary: Sho's a newscaster, Aiba's a zookeeper, and the two of them are a couple. One day it rains.
AN: For once I wrote something that's not Ohmiya. Basically, it's a short bit of fluff written to get back into the hang of writing couples that aren't Ohmiya before I start tackling ones I haven't really written before. I've written some of those request fics, but I'm planning on posting them in batches, so I want to get a few more done before I post :D. There might be a lot of fic from me soon because I have at least five half written things, and more planned - my brain has gone into overdrive and won't stop with the ideas, clearly o:!

Rating: PG-13
Word count: 5,650

AN: This was my entry for the ohmiya short story contest. I really enjoyed writing it, and it was the winner :D!
