hello children

I'm only posting for a few reasons. Becuase I haven't in a while, I like the feel of typing on a laptop, and I have time until I go see Anthony.

Let's see. Well, you all know about graduation. Now I'm just curious as to see what friendships will remain. We're not all going to the same college, and even if we are there is no saying that we'll see each other. It's hard to think that my mom still talks to people she's known since she was four years old in New York. Can we do the same?

It all is going to depend really on if we want to make it work. That's the thing. Do you want to make it work?

Hmm. WEll I haven't practiced what Simtion's given me, and I'm supposed to call him this week. I'll probably do it tomorrow or the next day. I dont know, the guy just makes me nervous. 

Tomorrow starts my official working summer. This was my last lazy day. Max wants to go to lunch, but we'll see if that plan actually follows through or falls through like it usually does.

 Lol to everyone who didnt go to school today, thank you. we did absolutely nothing in class and there were around 6 people in some classes :)

I had a reasonably good day at work today working with Chris West, Becca, Sackett, and Corey, until around 7 PM. The cops showed up for some reason I wasn't informed of, and Moreno (one of the senior managers, who is acting in Windsor's position until he comes back) was dealing with the police for a long time. He was scheduled til 6, but stayed after that. So I answer a call from guest services between 630 and 7 and the caller is asking for Mr. Moreno. I don't recognize the voice, but I tell them that he's not available. The guy asks why and I say that I believe he's very busy. WE AREN'T ALLOWED TO DISCLOSE ANY INFORMATION TO PEOPLE THAT HAVEN'T IDENTIFIED THEMSELVES. I ask if I can take a message and who is calling, and the guy says that it's Mr. Mayza. My first thought is 'shit' becuase as soon as i ask him to hold, Becca is to my left talking TO MORENO ON THE WALKIE. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW HE'S STILL THERE.  (FYI: Mayza is the District Manager, meaning he is the boss' boss, the manager of like 7 harkins theatres). Half hour or so after the call, Moreno says he needs to talk to me. He asks me what happened with  Mayza, I told him that I didn't know it was Mayza i was talking to, and that i told him he wasn't available becuase i figured he was dealing with the police. Moreno goes 'Who are you to assume ANYTHING like that? It makes me look bad toward my boss, balh blah blha you are in NO position to tell anyone anything like that'. So in between him belittling me as a human being and allowing himself to be the alpha male, I apologize at least 4 times. He didn't acknowledge or accept my apology, and I am pissed off that I've been in tears on and off. My parents don't understand why I"m writing to Windsor (my ACTUAL boss) and Mayza, explaining what happened becuase apparenlty Mayza was pissed. Whatever, I'm done. I just feel the need to defend myself and my actions becuase if some fucking jackass doesnt say who it is before we start talking, how am I to know how to handle the situation? Fucking stupid jackasses need to get a reality check and realize that the world isn't aboiut them.

Background on Moreno - refuses to get a real job after working for Harkins for SIX YEARS; was in Windsor's office when someone called him over the walkie and he said that he was in 'HIS' office, laughed and said 'oh i mean WINDSOR"s office'. He has a ring on his ring finger, the man shouldn't be allowed to breed.

I'm going to put in an application to Borders really soon after talking to Becca, Chris, Reiter, Olson, etc. about it and get their input. Becuase i know that once i quit, unless i'm seein g amovie i more than likely wont ever talk to the people i've become affectionate of again.

Scottsdale 101 - how to get thurrr
jsut fyi, its around the desert ridge area.

You can take the 51 North up to the 101, go east. you go straight for a few miles, get off at the exit where you see the buildling that says 'harkins cine capri' on the right side. i'm not sure what street/exit it is called, but i'm pretty sure its scottsdale; make a right. you'll get to a light, make a right.

i'm not used to taking that way, i only did once becuase i was scheduled to work over there and sackett was driving. 

the way i'm familiar with is taking tatum up to mayo, straight run until harkins comes up on the left side. you turn left when yo'ure able to into the parking lot, the light for what i assume is scottsdale road is right after it.

omg that made like no sense.

So  I'm looking at the roundup for the scottsdale center for the performing arts or whatever it's title is, and look to see if there's anyone or anything I'd want to see. And then I see Yundi Li on the list for March 9th. 

I, of course, flipped out like a fan girl. And, of course, I think of Mrs. Filer and my dad. My dad's birthday is Valentine's Day, but I think it's a great birthday present. I went into the den, called my dad a sucka (much to my mom's dislike, but much to my amusement, and much to my dad's confusion as to what the hell I called him), and dragged my mom out of the room. I tell her my idea, she tells me I have to talk to my dad about it. (Eh, ruined the element of surprise, but my mom likes for everyone to be in the know). He reacted better than I imagined. 

There were two seat choices for the center section. Two seats in the middle of the front row, and two seats on the aisle on the right side of the second row. I really would've loved the first option, just so I could maybe glimpse at his hands, but my mom and I know that my dad hates sitting next to people (my brother's the same way, they're both anti-social like that). So the aisle option it was. 

My mom wouldn't let me pay for the tickets, which I wasn't happy about. I have enough money in teh bank account for it, and that was my original intention. 

Eh. She'll be paid back.

24 year old classical music virtuoso. Won the International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition in Chopin's own Warsaw, Poland at the age of EIGHTEEN. The youngest winner ever of the competition, and the first in 15 years to be awarded it. If you would like to witness this dude's epic genius, www.youtube.com is your friend. 

Personally, anyone who starts playing the accordion at age four, and wins the top prize at a kid's accordion competition at age five pretty much pwns at life.  The man has won top prizes in competitions of stravinsky, lizst, etc. Incredible.
