Because I have the biggest, scariest exam of my life coming up in less than a week, naturally I want to do nothing but read Star Wars: The Force Awakens fanfic all day every day. Denial vs. Coping mechanism? Who knows?
This is a problem. BUT! I have decided to try to focus this need into a reward system of study for a bit, then read during a break.
With this in mind, anyone have any TFA fic they'd like to recommend? Your own or others', I'll take them all.
a) coming down with a cold b) having an allergy flare-up c) having an immune reaction to receiving my flu shot on Tuesday
Either way I am cranky and feel semi-gross, but not so bad as to be able to rationalize completely hermiting inside and getting nothing accomplished.
As my ankle injury from back in MAY (argh!) has yet to heal acceptably, I have also learned from my occupational health appointment today that they are recommending a visit to orthopedics, an MRI, and physical therapy. All of which require prior authorization from worker's compensation in order to schedule. So I'll likely be waiting on that for an age and a half.
I am disastrously unmotivated to do anything useful at all at the moment, despite having an impressively-sized list of things to do. And I've also been trying to encourage myself to achieve a reasonable sleeping schedule, meaning I should try to go to bed in the next hour or so. So, do I work on schoolwork, do a load of laundry, clean my kitchen, or watch the Red Sox game?
Why can't I get out of work on time anymore? I think I've clocked out late more often than on time lately. And by lately I might actually mean months. Blech >:(
What are your favorite winter/winter-holiday prompts? Either prompts that can be applied to multiple fandoms or, if fandom-specific, within the following: Star Trek Reboot, Avengers & related movies (MCU), Firefly/Serenity, Sherlock (BBC), Harry Potter, or Doctor Who. Gen, pairings, whatever and whichever you please.
I am not trying to torture anyone like when the stores hang up the Christmas decorations everywhere before Halloween, I am just acknowledging the fact that if I want to try to complete a project I have in mind then I'd darn well better start soon. Because this is me, after all.
