STAR DRIVERS, HEADLINED BY PATRICK DEMPSEY, TO RACE AT THE GLEN
Patrick Dempsey and Bruno Junqueira Both Entered for the Sahlen's Six Hours at The Glen on Saturday, June 6th

Watkins Glen, NY (June 3, 2009) -- Patrick Dempsey will return to WGI for the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen on Saturday, June 6th. Dempsey, who is best known for his role as Dr. Derek Shepherd (a.k.a. Dr. McDreamy) on the hit TV drama Grey's Anatomy, also competes in the Rolex Sports Car Series. Slated as a co-driver in the No. 40 Mazda RX-8 for Dempsey Racing with Joe Foster, the team will hope to improve on their 36th--place finishing position from the 2008 Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen event. This race will mark Dempsey's second appearance at Watkins Glen International.

Additionally, IndyCar® Series veteran, Bruno Junqueira, is set to join Mark Wilkins and Burt Frisselle in the No. 61 AIM Autosport Ford Riley as a co-driver for the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen. The 2002 Indy 500 pole-sitter, and three-time Champ Car World Series runner-up, will make his Rolex Sports Car Series debut in a Daytona Prototype at The Glen. However, the race will not be his first start at the legendary road course. Last year, he recorded a season best finish of 6th in the Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen while competing in the IndyCar® Series.

Fans will have the opportunity to meet Dempsey, Junqueira, Scott Pruett, and all the starts of the Rolex Sports Car Series during an all-driver autograph session on Saturday, June 6th at 12:00-12:45 PM. The session will be held at team transporters throughout the Rolex Sports Car Series paddock area, which is also open to fans throughout the weekend. The event is included in the price of any admission ticket.

Tickets for the entire 2009 season at Watkins Glen International are on sale now! The season kicks-off with the Sahlen's Six Hours of The Glen weekend, June 5-6, featuring the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series, KONI Challenge, and NASCAR Camping World Series East. Weekend tickets are only $35 and general admission for kids 12 and under is FREE when accompanied by an adult. At home with Patrick Dempsey in his brand new villa !

I scanned this article from a Belgian Magazine...

Translation :

At home with Patrick Dempsey in his brand new villa.

“I find it important that my children have a safe haven, says Patrick Dempsey (43), known as Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd from 'Grey's Anatomy." And that home is situated in Brentwood, Los Angeles, where he has purchased a new luxury villa.
The house in colonial style is located in Brentwood, Los Angeles. The American 'Grey's Anatomy' actor payed about four and a half million euro for it. But he gets much in return: a villa built in 2007 with five hundred square meters living space, five bedrooms. There’s the large media room, swimming pool, exotic spa and spacious guest accommodation.

Women.
"I have kissed Patrick Dempsey once, and I even have a picture of him hanging on my refrigerator," said Sophie Dewaele (Belgian tv host) last year. The FiveTV-face met Patrick in Amsterdam. "I’m thirty four years old, I don’t start screaming anymore when I meet one of my idols," she added to it, but I think he’s a gorgeous man."

Sophie is not only one, because Patrick Dempsey is admired by many women. Unfortunately, he’s taken. From 1987 to 1994 he was married to Rocky Parker, after the divorce he re-married in 1999 with Jillian Fink. The couple has a daughter Tallula Fyfe, and twin sons Darby and Sullivan. After ten years of marriage, routine must strike, but Patrick Dempsey has his own cures for that.

Jewelry.
"It is difficult to define romance without the traditional clichés like candles, boat, picnic and sunset," he says. But to be a strong couple, real friendship is essential. "Patrick is very romantic," says his wife Jillian. He regularly buys me jewelry from Fred Leighton. These are not things that I just receive and put away in a box. No, I wear them with pleasure. They give me the feeling that I am very special to Patrick.", Jillian adds to it. "The children are everything to him.”
“That’s true”, the actor says, “my children are my great treasures. I think it is very important to create a cozy, safe environment for them."

Dream house.
And that cozy, safe environment is situated in Brentwood, where he bought his new house. "This is the perfect place to continue building my acting career." Says Patrick. "It’s obvious that I keep living near Hollywood for a while. I intend to make this house a great home for my family."
But the actor is looking even further into the future. “When I want to calm down later, I’m leaving Los Angeles. I already bought my dream home a long time ago, in Maine where I grew up. That’s where I want to spend my days when I’m old. Because it’s a place that gives me inner peace. I already look incredibly forward to it. "
