I generally approve of all-way stops, but it might not be the best thing for a 5x6-lane intersection. I don't know if there were Mechanical Issues with the signals or if it's always like that on Sundays, but at least half the drivers had no idea what to do. I watched one car sit for at least two minutes, waiting patiently for a left-turn arrow that never came. I gestured, but they ignored me. They probably didn't see me, since I was a couple towns over (that is, at the other side of the intersection). It resembled World War I, where one country's war mobilization (entering the intersection) set off a chain reaction—though with less carnage. Maybe it is the best thing after all.
