A few days ago, a friend posted a link to EDC which inspired me to document the things I almost always have with me... and now I feel like the crazy cat lady of daily preparedness for insignificant trials.

The stuff on my immediate person:

Not shown is my watch, which I forgot to remove.

The minimum load in my backpack security blanket:
(not shown is the camera with which the photo was taken).

The small sewing scissors are probably the least used and I should probably stop carrying them. The bit of shoelace is probably the most used item after of the mason jar that serves as my travel mug.

'sok, somebody has to take up the other end of the possessions-carried-on-person spectrum.

When you no longer have a trunk full of board games and a glove box full of darts (I am pretty sure there is a pool cue somewhere about, too), then you can claim it is cosmic balance. I think we are just prepared for entirely different emergencies. :}

The pool cue was a casualty of an earlier trunk theft, sadly.
I think you forget how little I drive, though..

Of the last 10 times you have substantively left the house (not just picking someone up from BART or heading into the backyard), how many of those times have not involved your driving?
