This is an impressive amount of rain.

Added bonus of occasional lightning.... and thunder. All of the car alarms in Richard's neighborhood got set off by that last clap.

Not so bonus is that I can't imagine that the high winds and several hours of continuous downpour hasn't caused treefalls, flooding, and slides.

Hear You...

...and the rain is rattling my windows here as well. No lightning, but I can see on the TV that there's flooding and such. Yay.

Yeah, I wonder if caltrans has betting pools for which roads are going to get washed out, and how much of 1 is going to go into the ocean from this storm set.

It woke me up. The thunder sounded like it was right overhead.

There was a two or three second interval between the flash and the thunder here. I am not quite sure where you are in relation to [livejournal.com profile] xthread's, but the lightning seemed to be in the north.

How did the wee one handle it?

I'm in the Mission. And the wee one slept through it, just making a squeak.

yeah, that one was right over head. it woke just about everyone up.

Yeah, traffic was pretty epic this morning up and down the peninsula with flooded ramps and backed-up storm drains.

On the plus side, the thunder last night was great. It's funny how comforting thunder is when you grew up with it.
