This past weekend was San Diego Comic Con International, which was really cool as always. I think my greatest success this year by far in the world of cosplay was my costume from the CW's Arrow. While I am very proud of the costume as a whole, it seems my brightest achievement in it was in fact the bow. So, if you're thinking about making one yourself, here's a quick and dirty rundown of how I made mine and why I think it was so successful.
1. Thank you to everyone who has ever helped me with my Jack costume. That includes people who have cosplayed along side me, people who took my picture, people who helped me look for things, and people who gave me helpful hints along the way. Especially my team.
2. This is a place to start. This breakdown isn't meant to be the end-all of your work on your very own Jack Harkness costume. Do your research and take into account that I, while I have experience with the costume, am not the end-all. This is your costume.

Captain Jack Harkness is a lot of things, dashing, charming, etc. What he is not is particularly innovative with his clothing. That said, you must be to get his 'standard' look. He makes it look easy.
