Mr. Robot

Just watched a piece of brilliance called Mr. Robot (the 1 hr, 4 minute pilot episode is available for free right now on iTunes). This was what, I guess, Scorpion or those other hacker-type shows were trying to evoke so ineffectually, but here we have a character who is very obviously neuro-atypical and yet is trying desperately to function within society's constraints (by day) and overcome his depression and limitations. He speaks almost affectionately/wistfully of normal people how nice it must be to be them, and that's why he tries to protect them (the good ones, at least) in his own very illegal and yet satisfying ways.

I don't know where they got the lead actor for this role, but he's just terrific.

And that doesn't even touch on the overarching theme of the Evil Corp he both works for and despises.

A++ recommend and I can't wait for the next episode.
