He bleps so pretty...someone should write a fic about Rodney noticing this habit of John's. It'd drive him NUTS once he notices, and John would make a tentative move once he catches that Rodney keeps staring at his mouth.
Rodney keeps unconsciously mirroring John because he can't help watching that tong. And John's mouth goes dry when he sees Rodney's tong, and off they go into a blepping spiral of doom. Of sexy doom.
I keep picturing this as a thing that actually happens, and then it cuts to Teyla and Ronon looking exasperated and long-suffering at this belp spiral of sexy doom. Music swells for John and Rodney, it's intense, and Teyla and Ronon are standing in awkward silence just two feet away.

Teyla: Yes! Yes. I know. A little variety would be nice. *Stares at her timepiece.* I wonder what's keeping the Ambassador.
Ronon: *mimes seppuku with his short blade.*
Teyla: *laughs*
John and Rodney: *are oblivious, continue blepping at each other*
