IC CHARACTERISTICS.
→ CANON POINT: Chapter 50.
→ PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Toto is skinny and pale, of average height for his age, with light green hair and golden eyesdon't ask me why. He's eighteen but looks slightly younger. He wears a really stupid outfit most of the time. His body is covered in scars, or more accurately seams, most notably on his wrists; these tend to rip if he gets into physical altercations.
→ DEMEANOR: His mannerisms tend to be childish when he's not actually trying to murder someone; for example, he claps his hands a lot when he's happy or interested in something, and he tends to sit or crouch on the floor rather than in a chair like a grown-ass adult. He doesn't care about personal space or social boundaries, and he'll grab/touch/lickyou if you don't physically try to stop him. He smiles like 90% of the time and is overall cheerfully insane.
→ ABILITIES: Toto has the ability to manipulate his blood as an offensive weapon; this power is canonically called a Branch of Sin because what is subtlety. Toto's specific Branch of Sin is called Love Labyrinth, which isn't an offensive power in itself but allows Toto to copy any Branch of Sin he encounters as long as he ingests a small amount of blood of the person who possesses it. In TLV he only possesses Senji Kiyomasa's Crow Claw, which allows him to create twin fully-functional scythes made of blood fanning from his wrists. He can only use this one minute out of every ten.
→ MEDICAL INFORMATION: His body falls apart sometimes. :c
→ CABIN INFORMATION: 2-12. The room is a miniaturized version of a ballroom contained in his prison at home. The floor is shiny white tile, the walls are also white, and there are no furnishings inside other than a huge four-poster bed and, in the corner, a toy piano.
→ OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: You cannot offend this guy.

I feel I'd sell well, alive or dead. You could fetch a good price for me, if merfolk are as unusual in the world at large as I'm given to understand. And I'm bored here! Someone should take me away.

When he smiles, his teeth gnash at the sun; his torso is covered in thick and thin scars, remnants of old battles with those who might own him, tame him. [Toto has kept deliberately silent for the last several weeks. Defeat is not something he takes to easily, because in his mind he's never lost before - his original death notwithstanding, since that was a setback. So he has watched as things got worse, as they started to take shape, as the Barge became a true prison. Not as nice as his, but nevertheless an improvement.]
[The only problem is he's still in the wrong place. Which means, to survive, to win at some point in the future, he must adapt.]
[When the feed clicks on, his voice is flat, even depressed, his tone philosophical. It's mostly disingenuine, but a very good act.]
There are a lot of people here who know how prison functions from the inside. There are some who know how it functions from the top. There might be some who have staged escapes or riots, but - if someone in power is backed into a corner, how do they react?

[Barge, say hello to . . . a big red eye. Definitely not Toto's, especially not when its owner backs up a little bit and lets you see her actual face. She's looking a little puzzled to be here, but hey. Could be a whole lot worse.]

I wonder if the Admiral has a chart that helps him decide who's bad enough to be an Inmate or good enough to be a Warden. Or a scale - that's more symbolic. Even though he doesn't seem to pay attention to that kind of thing! [ Admiral, you have no style. ]
Even if he has a chart, the whole process must be very subjective. If anyone can be re-evaluated at any time and go from Inmate to Warden, the ideas, the contradicting ideas, of good and bad here don't mean anything at all. There are so many things in a person's heart at once - depending on what's plucked out, any one of us could hold the keys to Zero. [ A slight uptick in the childish sullenness at this point: ] It's not controlled at all.

But you really liked it there. You can't lie to me - I know you did. And you miss it. You weren't the only one, either! Parts of lots of people are still there. [ Um, literally. ] People lost themselves in that place. Especially you. You want to go back.
[The reply, when it comes, isn't particularly tense or unhappy. In fact, Senji sounds eerily relaxed, considering Toto's talking about him leaving little pieces of himself strewn across the past.]
Doesn't matter what I want. I've got shit to do here.
[ Now he just sounds curious. ] But if you could go back and have it all be the same . . . ?
[Senji just snorts:] What, back to you throwing kids like Ganta to the wolves? Nah, I'll pass.

[Senji doesn't miss a beat before replying, his tone, the verbal equivalent of a shrug, as he replies:] He'll be okay. I got things to do here.
[ Sulkily: ] But you're not doing anything.
[There's the sound of springs creaking, and when Senji speaks again his voice is agitated, and quieter, more distant from the journal than before.] Until you figure out that you're not about to just get home by clicking your heels and hoping real hard, there's only so much I can actually do here. So whatever, what I'm doing is waiting, and I'm not just going to give up and drop this just because you're getting bored.
I can make my own fun. You're going to give up because this isn't your home. [ He laughs, light and child-like, and there's the sound of hands clapping softly. ] I made your home. And you'll come back to it, just like you did last time.
[Senji's quiet for a moment, then he chuckles, low in his chest.]
You're dead, Mockingbird. The job's done, the egg ain't hatched, and Wonderland's an empty nest. There's nothing left to go back to.

[ Barge, for your attention and consternation, there will be several irregular, short, and fairly incomprehensible videos posted over the next two days - a couple from the highest limbs of a tree, a couple from the lowest, a notable one from the top of the Queen's vaults. No face is ever shown, the video always shakes, and the only thing that's ever said between odd moments of silence is some version of the following mutable lines. ]
A little bird walks
Through the woods without pause
'Til he at last comes on a cage;
He walks right inside
And sits down with a sigh
Says, "I haven't been still for an age."
A little bird flaps
At the bars he does fan
With his wings, 'til they twinge and they ache;
Says the bird, "I've been scammed,
It's no cage, it's a hand."
As it swallows him up like a snake.
A little bird pecks
At the edge of his nest
And eventually splits it in two;
When the little bird falls
To the ground with a waul
Why, the little bird turns into you.
[ Interspersed with these are a few videos of the hedge maze, each focusing on something within the maze that's barely-seen but glittering gold. There's no song in those videos, just a hum or a brief laugh. ]
[ Walking through the forests of Wonderland might prompt an encounter with the Cheshire Cat, although he's not immediately recognizable as such. Rather than curled up on a tree branch, he'll be dangling from it upside-down or leaning against the trunk with both legs swinging - or he'll have usurped a spot on a decently-sized mushroom. The sudden appearance is kind of a constant, though. And if you're mad enough to go after whatever's in the maze, or just wander in lost, or get dragged in by the Queen, or are imprisoned already, there's a decent chance he'll turn up, too. ]

It's so boring it's barely worth moving. Make an effort to be more entertaining.
