Commission of GΓ³a and ThΓ’ri in their wedding attire for my loveliest friend @pilkypills
Both ThΓ’ri and GΓ³a had a really difficult time being accepted amongst their people, ThΓ’ri as a half-dwarrow, and GΓ³a as a banished dwarrowdam. But through the power of friendship, adventure, and a really annoying stowaway, the girls found community and acceptance with each other and GUH they mean so very much to me!!

I'm pretty sure someone else already had thought about this but I headcanon both Elves and Dwarves to have that eye shine that animals have-
Elves because they have pretty good night vision and remind me a bit of cats
And Dwarves because they would also need pretty good night vision in darker tunnels!
Anyways- that being said imagine Bilbo (who doesn't have it and never seen it before) sitting up in the middle of the night because something woke him up and just seeing two shining eyes looking straight at him from across the camp
He might just have died right there and then from a heart attack-
Or
First night with the fellowship and Boromir makes the mistake of looking across the fire and seeing both Legolas and Gimli looking at him with those shining eyes-
He probably didn't get much sleep after that. The hobbits, especially Merry and Pippin, find this absolutely fascinating. Aragorn is used to it although he had been surprised to see dwarven eyes do the same as the elven eyes he had been used to seeing.

Today marks my fandom anniversary of the first time I ever drew Bilbo and Thorin so i wanted to do a redraw! (it's an easy date to remember because it's my birthday >:3 )
It is actually insane to me that it's only been 12 months since I drew the original (the second image), I genuinely do not remember what my life was like before these two consumed my every thought.
I just wanted to take the time to be sappy for a moment and thank The Hobbit fandom and especially the Acorns and Oakleaves Discord server for this past year. I have never met a more lovley, supportive and welcoming community. Every comment or tag or interaction makes my day and makes my heart so full!
I'm beyond excited to spend another year with you all, being insane about these two dorks π
