I have XP and Gentoo linux installed. In XP, my IDE RAID0 config can be
seen and used flawlessly (highpoint). In linux, modprobe ataraid works
fine, but modprobing hptraid gives me "Raid array not found" a few times
and stops. Any ideas? I've googled around to no avail...

hptraid only understands a small subset of the disk layouts so not all
forms are known. Wilfried has done some really good work on this so more
formats are known by the later drivers.

Unfortunately HPT don't seem keen to document their disk layout.

Something about a guitar player

If I was dictator of the world, Aaron would take over for Al and I would take over for Aaron.

Oh, how lovely that would be. But, alas, I still suck at bassing it up.

I can dream, can't I?

Disclaimer: I'm not too serious, but as I'm sure you already know, if worse comes to worse, give me a call. Mr. Rore, if you have tabs of HPD songs, I'd actually like to learn them just because ... I'll be free this weekend. Let me know when is a good time to stop over.

(no subject)

AirRoreWSU: I think it's escalated to "party" status now
KrebstarJeremy: I think it has
Krebstar Jeremy: If we're cleaning for it, It's a party...

F-F-F-FRIDAY, come out to the robot house for heather's birthday! Jello shots, cooking oil twister, and possibly brit-pop dancing? (it's inevitable)

NO update

Lee dropped out. That leaves us at our target number of 8. It is extremely important that you let me know as soon as you can if you plan to drop so we can make the necessary changes.

I'm going to arbitrarily divide the group into two to make payment easier.

Room 1: Team Nate (fuck yo lexus) -> Jeremy, Skitch, Al
Room 2: Team Aaron (vicious unibrow) -> Seth, Andre W, Derek

The tenative plan is to leave at about midnight monday the 21st. (avoiding as much rush hour bullshit as possible in addition to getting there approximately when we can check in)
Members of team vicious unibrow need to pay me $90 cash/check. If you want to pay me with a check you need to do it before Friday the 18th. You can pay me in cash on the 21st, but it MUST BE CASH, i am relying on this for food money/gas and etc. Members of team fuck yo lexus should contact Nato about payment. (what/how he charges you may be slightly different based on what they charged him for the room)

Also, the driving situation is no longer a concern. Al has secured his parents van and that will be used in combination with one other vehicle. Worst case scenerio is a combination of seth/nate/derek driving.

NEW ORLEANS DRIVING SITUATION

Hi. This is your lovely spring break captain airrore speaking.

First of all, I'm going to IM everyone who had an interest in going and they should post if they still plan to go.

I wanted to address the driving situation; We need people to volunteer their cars for the trip. There was some talk of Seth/Nate being able to do that, but (depending on who goes) we will need an additional car most likely. Jeremy and I are pretty much out since our cars have been money sinkholes and notorious as of late for mechanically/physically falling apart. (go corsicas!)

I know we have three people (skitch/seth/andre w) that drive stick. That's one car right there. Nate can drive with two other passengers. (one being lee, since he's unable to drive and nate can probably make it there without sleeping) So we need to find one more car capable of making it to accommadate the rest of us. Before we can address this we need to know who's going to go.
