Hello, most certainly has been, in the words of Bjork 'Oh so quiet' recently.

I'm currently back in Ireland after two-ing and fro-ing from here to Scotland! Had and immense night out in belfast on Saturday in a pub-come dance floor thing which reminded me of the green room. I got very homesick and left a comically drunken message on someones answerphone (you know who you are)! hehe
Travelling scotland has been adventure filled and I've even seen the highest point of scotland at John O'groats! I thought it was going to be thrilling but infact it was rather wet, dull and ultimately dissapointing. It's no Italy thats for sure but at least i speak the language!
I have 1 week left then a week off before I commence with 2 weeks in England. Woopie!
also i've met a stud of a highland sheep on the Scottish moors and I'm dying to introduce you all to him? His names Sandy and get this, he drives a convertable. My life long dream come true, it's like 'before sunset' meets 'look who's talking'. Joy of Joys

Love to ya'll,

I miss you all so much

P.s the above sheep comment is a joke (my friend Ian questioned this!)

Hello my children,

I am mostly happy. I love my job in the star (a lovely local pub) becuase there are lots of nice people and only one or two wankers that check out my arse when I stock the fride. That right pissed me off. And I'm doing this flyering job which is very boring but really good exercise and I'm getting a suntan. And I like looking in peoples windows. I'm pretty nosy like that. I am going to Barcelona on Monday where we shall stay forn 3 nights before moving on to Benicassim which is the music festival in Valencia. It should be cool apart from the fact that the 4 people I'm going with seem to be involved in some kind of Love quadrangle! The two boys being in love with my friend Emily, the girl ella being in love with one of the boys, bisto. And then theres me. Loveless and forlorn. Haha only kidding, theres too much fun to be had with Spanish lovely men.
I start with that theatre company in August, 2 weeka rehearsal in Belfast and then the job actuall starts in sept for 7 weeks! I'm interested to see who I'll be working with! Anyway should be a good experience and will get money and get to travel!

Love to everyone, I miss the Bretton creativity, especially wide games with Nerf guns

Hello people,

On Saturday I went for an audition for a Irish T.I.E company, got the info through bretton so thought it might be kind of 'good' TIE. Anyway its only 7 weeks and is nice money but obviously not ideally what I want to be doing. Got an email today saying they are offering me it but dont know if I should take it, becuase it'll mean I will miss my holiday to Vienna which i was really ecited about and obviously puts me off the market for other things. What do you think? I need advice?

Also might be coming to Leeds soon, my friends are going to watch snow patrol and if I have any money I will go too otherwise I'll just come with them n hang out with whoever of you guys are about. Anyway I think thats the weekend after next but I'll be in touch xxxxxxxxxxx

Coming home

Hey everyone,

Have booked my flight home. Coming form Pisa on the 1st, staying with my friend Matt for one night in Manc then returning to sunny chesterfield on the 2nd! I was feeling rather like I didnt quite want to let go of Italy yet, but now the job has finished I feel like it's probabaly about time I came home and set about finding another job and or setting up some kind of theatrey thign of my own.My script is coming on but really just want to get in a room with actors again and create instead of trying to write all my insane ideas down (its all visual so just doesnt go onto paper that well) I'd really love to have another go at directing so might look into that. Can't wait to see everyopne, should have my english phone set up again by the time I return so I will be in touch if I dont hear from u first!

Miss everyone

Hello everyone,

So my job has been cut short and I finish in a week and a half! I'm so gutted! Don't feel ready to go. I feel like I've just established soem sort of life here, I've made friends in Milan I'm picking up the language and the sunshine is beautiful. I just don't want to leave! I'm thinking about travelling around but I really don't have the money. Also considering going to Florence (I havent been) and just trying to get a bar job for a month or something.
Have had a great few weeks, visited Lago di Como and took endless amount of photos of Jamie (he insisted) and just lay on a wall next to the lake for ages listening to the water. Been partying like mad with a bunch of Brazilians we made friends with who are all slightly insane but great fun! The clubs out here are so expensive though so it can be a nightmare. Arctic monkeys play on Sat at the Rolling Stone so might try and go although its supposed to be sold out. Spent 2 days in Genova for work and went to the Aquarium which was magnificent! Mt favourites were the seals who looked like they were dancing with each other. They had be mesmorized for ages. I also saw all the fishes from Finding Nemo includig Dori or Tori as I call her! I touched soem weird flat fish thing, one felt slimy and the other bristley. Weird! The sharks were behind 23cm thick glass! Not think enough for my liking! We also saw the pirate ship from Roman Polanskis film, and I took a ton of photos.
Also had a car crash, just a minor one although we broke the back window which cost 500 euros to replace then I was in the car with the othert group and it broke down! Thatll teach the compoany to give us THE SHITTEST cars ever!

Email me and let me know your plans for the summer,

Lots of love,

Hello everyone,

I know its been rather a while but I have been somewhat of a busy bunny over the easter holidays (no pun intended)! Hope everyone is faring well! I certainly am. Had a great easter when I went to Diana Marino with my Dad for a few days (on the italian coast) and then went to France with me mum n Gordon! Stayed in a caravan which was only slightly cramped! On Easter Sunday we went to Antibes which was absoluately beautiful! There was the most amazing market and the market people kept feeding us exotic foods and then forcing us to buy them. Well not forcing exactly, we were quite willing!
Really didn't want to go back to work but am enjoying it now again although looking forward to the end stretch! Approx 5 weeks left till I return! Yeeeeeyyyy although I'm thinking about going to Rome and Florence before I come back because I really can't spend 5 months in Italy and not have been there really! Can I? I don't really know yet it depends on my money situation! Can't wait to see everyone.
The weather here is fantastic and the sunshine is putting me in a fantastic mood! Trying to create some kind of tan but its not working very well. I think I will always be pale and interesting! haha
I don't really know what to say so much has happened since I last emailed, my Italian is coming on a lot I can pretty much make myself vaguely understood! I'm quite addicted to learning it!

Ahhh the internet man just said they are closing! Bugger

A longer update soon,

Entertaining children with silliness. My forte.

Meeting Brazilians and talking shit all night because neither of you really speaks the others language (well I tried to speak italien to him although he was brazilian) bizzarre combination but made for the MOST FUN EVER!

Hi everyone.

It's been a while! I am currently in Milan, agian! We were stayin in what the groups have christianed 'the porno hotel'. (Parents please don't worry too much about me) We were expecting some serious brothel type paintings but actually they were quite tasteful nude paintings which apparently the owner had done herself so not as bad as we were expecting. Last week sepnt the week inTurin which was fantastic as our hotel was so near the centre. Explored and got to know the city a bit, but seeing as I have no money spent half my time sitting by the river Po, reading my belle and sebastian book, which is utterly magical. Went out on the Saturday and walked into a bar which looked more like someones living room and the room we sat in everyone went quiet and stared staring at us. It was like we just werent cool enough to be there! Late when i got back i looked it up in my lonely planet guide and it said somehting along the lines of 'cooler than cool, too cool for itself' bar! Hmm perfect description.
We were in the same school all week so we got to know the kids and the teahcers a bit and they were all lovely. Had the best time even though we had to do grease 5 times! On the news front, we have a new member as Wayne (director) has to re-join the office. His name is Jamie and he, like Nadia is a scouser! So now I'm stuck with 2 scousers! Oh god I'll be suprised if they don't start nicking stuff....errr
Haha only joking he seems cool, very quiet but hopefully that will change! He brings with him a laptop though which is a real life saver becuase it means we can watch films! ACTUAL FILMS IN ENGLISH! Me and Nadia went to try and watch a film in Turin and we got in sat down and they started speaking and it took me a few mins to realise they were speaking Italien even though the woman had told us it was in English. I was quite upset, I actually cried inside! Instead we went to a bar and chatted to some Italiens and then Nadia asked them if they were father and son to which the older looked quite offended and quickly left!
Had an interested night on Friday, went with Wayne (Irish) to a Irish pub for Paddys night! we arrived at about 6 and it was absolutely packed. I was drinkign Guiness which I never have before and needless to say was very ill later. (involving being sick in a pint glass)- but mum and dad you don't need to know that! Haha too late. Met some wicked Irish girls who go to Uni here and we have kept in touch so hopefully we will meet up with them. Also pulled the decorations off the wall becuase I wanted to 'wear them'. I have to say I did look rather fetching in a green lantern type thing as a scarf!!! Haha was a really good night despite the fact that my stomach is still killing me even now and I havent really been able to eat since!

Only 3 weeks till easter I can't wait!

Love to you all,

Hello Everyone!

If people have not been recieving replies to their emails I aplologise I get very little chance to go online but I have flagged the messages so i will soon reply to them! Hope everyone is spiffing! I was in sunny Chesterfield this weekend for a flying visit for my Mum birthday which was absolutley wicked! I really did not want to come back ;( I went ot the green room briefly after the party and expected to see all your smiling faces but the only one I encountered was Alex Mannion Jones' which was a small consolation! I am in Milan at the moment till Wednesday when we jet off to Turin for a week! Venice last weekend was an amazing experience! I stepped off the boat and realised I was somewhere really magical! It was like this floating mirage, It's unlike anywhere in the world! Went to the youth hostel that we were staying at before getting ready to hit the streets of Venice. Becuase it was the Carnival this demaded the most costume like attire I had to hand which involved a completely stripey outfit, over the top make up and feathers in my hair!
When we got the boat bus to the centre it was absolutely packed solid! thousands of people! Saw the most amazing array of costumes, from people dressed as sweetcorn to elaborate venetian dresses, wigs the whole caboodle! It was immense! Took countless photos then wondered what was next! What was this carnival all about? I think I expected fireworks and constant entertainment but it was more a mindset of just being as crazy and outrageuos as you can! We went to a bar in the evening and saw a wicked Ska band to which I skanked for a large amount of the night! Sarah Jane fell in love with an American but refused to take off her mask and show him her face (bloody actors)! Danny dissapeared and was later found at about 4 in the morning in a boat bay sleeping with his mask on the back of his head next to a tramp!
We were rudely awoken in the sunday morningat 8 o'lock to the sound of dreadful romantic music being blasted throughout the hostel! Wandered around the streets and got my face painted with the most amazing blues! It really amused a child on the way back to Milan! Got back feeling somewhat low and despite the amazing place, very homesick for the people that really know me!
Only 5 weeks to go till easter! I can't wait for a break!
Love to you all,

Hello everyone!

Hows tricks?
Currently I am in Padua (I think) Yes I am! We are staying in the tiniest village which has one shop, one restaurant and one cafe! It's dull. However currently I am in Padua town centre which is really cool! Have spotted about a thousand students which makes me feel at home! This weekend we are going to go to Venice for the Carnivale! I can't wait it should be all colours and drinks, and costumes and fun fun fun! I can't wait to see the sinking city! I wish i could go on a gondola but apparently it costs about 70 quid! No ta! Not that much of a romantic!
Last weekend was full of joy as we visited the DA Vinchi science museum which was realyl interesting. They had taken his drawings and created models from them! He really was such a clever man! Had a cool night out in Cornaredo (where the flat is) in which we played think while you drink for that bit too long! Opps. But it was great fun.
Got a bit excited yesterday when I found out that belle and Sebastian are playing in Milan in May so fingers crossed I will be able to see them! I realyl hope so! I might just book a ticket and just sell it on if I'm somewhere else!
How is everyone I clamour to hear news of your celestial bodies as the homesickness hurts! I am coming home a week on sat for my mums bday party. will be a flying visit though unfortunately!

Miss you all,
