New and Lost.

Name: Karen
Age: 21
Area you're from (state/country): So. Illinois.
How long you've been practicing: Well... I'm not. I am still searching for the religion that is right for me and I know it is along these lines but I can't seem to find what works for me.

Path you're on (e.g. Christian Witch, Christian Wicca, etc.):
As stated above I'm not really on a path. It just seems like I'm... well I don't know.

What you hope to gain from this group: Further my education in witchcraft so that hopefully I can find what works for me.

Hope everyone is having a pleasant night. A big storm front is about to come and I can't wait to go outside and enjoy it.

BLOG: Intuitive Tarot: The Morning Lesson

Quite often, I get this question:

"What would you suggest to a beginner who wants to learn to read the tarot?"

And my first answer would be....

I just posted a blog titled "Intuitive Tarot: The Morning Lesson." This is for those who might like to see how I teach my intuitive tarot class. It is an expansion of one of the exercises. I hope you will let me know what you think of it. Would love to hear about your own ways of learning a new deck.

Darn Those Fives Anyway!

Fives! Why do I keep pulling fives? Not just of one suit either? See there is a blog I enjoy that does a "Pick A Card For The Week". Tarot Table Talk by Susan Gold posts 6 cards each week and asks you the reader to pick one based on the look of the card. For the past two weeks I've picked Fives.

Come chat about fives with me on my blog if you like. Tarot By Arwen

Other Tarot Blogs: Chris Butler's A Gay Man And A Tarot Deck

One thing I've been doing on my blog is spotlighting/reviewing other Tarot blogs. I'm doing these on Saturdays. If you would like to be on the list of sites, let me know!

Today's is on Chris Butler who is the artist of the upcoming Quantum Tarot. He is also working on another deck and this is the blog I visited.

WANTED:Coven Members

Hi all,
I don't know if this has been done before, but I am looking for a group of people who would be interested in setting up a virtual coven, I would not classify myself as a Wiccan, more Pagan, but I do celebrate the sabbats and am an avid tarot reader.  I would like to set up an online community to discuss all things wiccan/pagan/new age, and perhaps this could eventually become a virtual coven tapping into the group psyche to perform spells/divinations etc.

If you are interested please post a comment, stating your age, location, sex, any special skills e.g. scrying/herbcraft etc and I will message you privately, Thanks.

ATA Tarot Reflections

I am delighted to announce the arrival of not only a new Tarot Reflections, but also a new Tarot Reflections editor! Shari pledges to have Tarot Reflections online every month. I hope you will give her feedback on her inaugural issue as well as submit your own articles.

I love the new Reflections piece where different voices are given the chance to speak out on the Tarot! My own article on the Tarot Top Five is there (many of you participated in the survey that sparked that article).

Fight The Fear - National Religious Tolerance Day

Tomorrow is National Religious Tolerance Day.

Help Spread the Word to Fight the Fear!

All practitioners of non-majority religions are being encouraged to wear a purple ribbon as a way of promoting religious tolerance and to potentially raise awareness. On Sept. 21st, if you practice a religion that is in the minority or you feel discriminated against due to your religion or if you want to support someone that you know that supports a non-majority religion, wear a purple ribbon to show your pride for your faith. If you don't stand up for your beliefs and your right to belive what is true for you, then who will?

For some, you may practice Wicca, others may practice Buddhism, and some others may be Muslim or Shinto, or many of the other non Judeo-Christian religions that exist on this planet. If you feel that Religious Tolerance is important for you, then wear the purple ribon and wear it proud! Show your pride!

I wil be supporting Wicca on this day, in addition to tollerance for all religions. What will you be supporting?
