Revelation Chapter 13
Chp 10 John was told to eat the book and prophecy the Word to the
nations and people. Chp 11 The rebuilding of the temple and the
impast on the world. Chp 12 The casting out of satan and how is will
affect Israel and believers. Chp 13 Will tell us about the two
powerhouses, the political and religous powerhouses during the
tribulation where the antichrist will merge church and state into
one! (hmmm, this makes you think about separation of church and
state in the USA in anew way...Perhaps, taking FREE WILL into the
equation...)
Rev. 13:1 The Beast from the Sea
Satan will stand on the shore of masses of humanity in the last
days. The Antichrist will step out of the sea of wickedness when
the Church is gone. 10 horns= 10 rulers; 7 heads= world governments
they are located on 7 hills (where the world religion will be
located. ( Isaiah 57:20 sea; Rev. 17:12 horns; Rev. 17:9-10 hills;
Rev. 12:3, 17:3 heads.)
The 10 crowns 10 divisions of the world government. Blasphemus
names on them, because noted for flaseness and wickednessThe 7th
head will be ran by the antichrist.
7 Horns/Hills:
1. Assyrian 2. Egyptian 3. Babylonian 4. Medo-Persian 5. Greek 6.
Roman 7. Revised Roman Empire (divided in 10 crowns-rulers.
** Jack Van Impe today people search for that one leader that will
bring it all together. Are people ready for the Devil as CEO of the

debate whether a person or political system. The same symbol as
roman empire as revised roman empire....so some lead to there the

Rev. 13:2 Three Groups
The Beast- a person or world
lepard- resembles it, a future arab coalition (lepards are native to
Africa.
bear- russia and allies - the feet of
lion- mouth like a lion- to parrot the others- England and those
established out of England(HMMM USA, AUSTRALIA,INDIA and other
colonies of Queen Victoria's England conquest)
The antichrist will be the incarnation of satan.
Rev. 13:3 Up from the Dead
This wounded head will be the antichrist and he will survive a fatal
wound. Unbelievers will be amazed by this!
** J Vernon McGee- there are many who think satan will raise a
person from the dead. But, satan has NO power to do this, a
counterfeit resurrection to fool.
Rev. 13:4 How can they be so Blind
Because of this happening, the unbelievers will fall for it and
raise him higher and worship him. Satan always wanted to be
worshipped. OCCULT- is anything to do with mystic arts, satanism
black magic or Witchcraft.
Matt 15:14 blind leading the blind both will fall!
Rev. 13:5 Half way there
This happens in the midpoint, the first 3 1/2 years passed...Now,
the reallt bad things, Great Tribulation. He's a charismatic
character will stir passion filled speeches and blasphemies. He
declares that he is god.
** Jack Van Impe Rev. 13:5-7 makes it clear satanic is rampant and
power given to those who oppose the church. Notice words Gave/Given
power.... they gave him power!
Rev. 13: 6 Watch out if you are for God
There are 4 kinds of blasphemes that he will do 1. Blaspheme God. 2.
Slander the name of God 3. Slander the dweeling place of God. 4. He
will be anti-God anti semitic anti anything to do with Jesus, the
cross, and redemption sends hin to a rage!
Rev. 13:7 Bow down or die
No place safe on earth if you don't worship antichrist. He will
persecute relentessly believers.
** Hal Lindsey that's why it's important we put faith in Jesus
Christ for forgiveness, be glad h HE died to make us free.
**CC Carlson and David Jeremiah- When we talk about the judgement of
God we may not be Popular, but we will have eternity in Christ.
**Ed Hinson - All resistance to this world system that antichrist is
doing will be crushed...
(I think of the "BORG" in Star Trek First Contact movie, Resistance
is futile in the Borg assimulation collective...in fact, Gene
Rodenbury's Star Trek doesn't have alot of Theological thinking in
the shows/movies)

13:8 One will to die for the Godly
The other willing to Kill the Godly
It is difficult to imagine a world filled with satan worshippers,
but that's what we have here. But, be encouraged, those written in
the Lamb's book of life cannot be separated from His Love!
Rev. 13:9 Open you ears and HEAR!
We should all listen, we don't have to go through this, this is a
warning, God loves everyone!
13:10 Believe, trust , Look
Double meaning here: If someone kills a believers in the tribulation
the same thing will come to him, even if it was accidental!
An eye for an eye (LEV. 24:17-22); reap/sow(Gal. 6:7)
Believe- 1Peter 1:21
Trust John 14:1
Look- II Cor. 4:18
Rev. 13:11 The Beast of the earth
sea= masses of humanity earth= Israel
2nd beast= two horns like a lamb, voice of dragon. He will talk
about the loving, accepting, poverty being bad, sexisn inequality,
discrimination, Underneath he is a slithering monster.
Compare
1st beast - 10 horns, look like a lamb(imitating Lamb of God), power
from satan,dragon
2nd beast 2 horns, voice comes from dragon,power speech from
dragon,satan
Rev. 13:12 Words sweeter that Honey
He will exalt the antichrist, be a member of the satanic trinity,
his words will sound sweet but his deed will show who he serves!
** Grant R. Jeffrey's - it is an open secret that priest, cardinals,
bishops, do don't believe in the Gospel, virgin birth, resurection,
divinityof Christ... when a new pope is picked, he could come from
this school of thinking...Jack Van Impe says, this is Pope John Paul
II fear when he dies...

Rev. 13:13, 14 The image of the beast- how vain can we get?
Exodus 7: 11-12, Job 1: 12, 16 Daniel 12:11
This verses correllate that satan will do things to fool people and
will set up a desecration...the abomination...
Rev. 13: 15 It Speaks
This in this day of technology can be visuallized...
cloning...holograms...
Rev. 13:16 The Mark of the beast
A mandate that all will have to take a mark in forehead or the hand
to trade, buy, sell....
- mark Cain was marked to be protected Gen. 4:15
-phylacteries were worn in Moses day by devout jews, these had
special word of God in them, they were worn on the left hand or
forhead, this was symbol of GOD Word on the hands, heart and minds
constantly.
-christians are marked with the Holy Spirit
So, of course the antichrist, false prophet and satan being copiers
want to imitate Jesus!
**Jack Van Impe, Hal Lindsey, and Tim Le Haye all speak on this and
got into the biochip thing...and NASDAQ...Anyway the false prophet
will perfect a way to show who are believers in Jesus Christ...with
ultraviolet light, chips, tattoos....
Reasons for the mark:
1. To counterfeit thr 144000 mark of God.
2. To give favors to those who support the antichrist
3. To indentify and eliminate opposition to world government
4. To track and control commerce
5. To force people to stop worshipping God
6. To force people to worship the antichrist
7. To perminently tie the people to the kingdom of the antichrist
Do not put marks on your body.
Those who take the mark will face the wrath of God.
Rev. 13:18 666- Not that number again
First, word we need to note is WISDOM. Too many get wrapped up in
trying to figure out who he is.
-the antichrist will rise after Israel becomes a nation and will
sign a covenant with them.
-the antichrist will come out of Europe-Daniel 9:26 tells us The
Romans Destroyed Israel and he will come out of those people...
-the antichrist will not be revealed until after the rapture.
It says those that have insight can calculate it. Our numbering
system in the modern world has changed from the ancient world.
Alphanumerics letters to numbers...
examples
A= 100 B= 101 C= 102....on that system one could find "HITLER"
A= 1x6=6 B=2x6=12....That gave the name Kissenger...
Many scientist today are studying this...greek, hebrew, computer
binary language...
People today get wrapped up in the mysterious Bible Codes, Da Vinci
Codes...But , really the mose sensible answer to me anyway is---
6 is the number of MAN. 7 is the number of God. 8 is the number of
Jesus. Man was created on the 6th day, God rested on the 7th, Jesus
arose on the 8th day...Thus triplicate 666,777,888.

figuring it out, but to confirm to the world that someone is already
suspected.

1. Wlll people be saved during the tribulation period?
2. What part will miracles play in this?
3. What two Spiritual things will people need to endure during the
tribulation? Why?
4. Is the mark your social security number? Credit Card number? ATM
DEBIT? Drivers License?
O.K. Can you believe we're over halfway through? This is heavy
material. But when you KISS (keep it simple silly) and break it
down, let the Holy Spirit lead you...we can do this, and blessing
will come!
