Summary: Draco is carving pumpkins the Muggle way, and he's not happy about it.
"Carve the pumpkins, he says," muttered Draco, wielding his knife with more force than necessary. "Do it the Muggle way, he says," he grumbled. Draco reached into the large pumpkin with a gravy ladle to scoop out the slimy insides. "Ugh," he shuddered as he managed to get pumpkin goo on his hand and sleeve.
Overhead, a pair of ravens cackled loudly as if mocking him.
"Shut your beaks, or I'll turn the both of you into flies," snarled Draco, flinging pumpkin guts at the branch the birds were perched on. The ravens flew away, the sound of their taunts fading into silence.
Draco stood back to survey his pumpkin. It appeared angry, which suited his mood. He picked up the smaller pumpkin and set to work, carving an idiotic expression on its face. "It looks just like Harry," Draco snorted. He set it beside the other pumpkin.
Draco-pumpkin seemed to be scowling at Harry-pumpkin, and Draco snickered. On a lark, he took the smaller pumpkin and wedged it inside the larger one's mouth so that it looked like Draco-pumpkin was about to chew up and spit out Harry-pumpkin.
Satisfied with his artistic endeavor, Draco returned to the house to wash his hands. Harry had promised him a surprise for carving pumpkins the Muggle way, and Draco intended to hold him to it. "My reward had better be worth it," he muttered, "or Harry-pumpkin won't be the only one getting chewed up and spat out."
