Finnish
editEtymology
editedus (“representation”) + kunta (forms compound terms for groupings, organizations, etc.). Coined by Finnish folklorist and linguist Daniel Europaeus in 1853.[1] The initial component edus is a noun that is no longer used independently to mean "representation" in modern Finnish; it has been replaced by the derivative edustus.
