beteg
Hungarian
editEtymology
editOf unknown origin. Perhaps a derivation of an otherwise unattested stem. The final -eg may be a noun-forming suffix. For the suffix compare hideg (“cold”), meleg (“warm”).[1]
Also, perhaps borrowed from a Tungusic language.[2]
