History
editYotta Data Services was established in 2019 by Darshan Hiranandani and Sunil Gupta.[3]
In 2020, the company launched its NM1 facility in Panvel near Mumbai, which was developed as a hyperscale data center campus.[4]
The company subsequently expanded its data centre operations to additional locations including Greater Noida and Gujarat.[1]

editIn 2026, Reuters reported that Yotta planned to deploy more than 20,000 NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra graphics processing units as part of a multi-billion-dollar investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure in India.[1][4]

editIn 2024, Yotta secured debt financing from the State Bank of India to support expansion of its data center infrastructure.[7]
In 2026, economics times reports stated that the company was exploring fundraising initiatives and preparations for a potential initial public offering.[8]
