Feedback request: Draft:Dramageddon

edit

Hello. I am working on Draft:Dramageddon, a submitted AfC draft about Dramageddon, an informal term used in media coverage for a series of YouTube beauty-community controversies, especially the 2018 beauty YouTube feud and the 2019 Tati Westbrook–James Charles controversy.

I am posting here because the draft is framed less as a creator-drama timeline and more as an article about a media ecosystem: beauty YouTube, tea/drama channels, subscriber-count spectacle, influencer accountability, platform metrics, and the economics of attention around online celebrity.

The draft is based mainly on independent secondary sources, including Business Insider, Vox, Time, The Verge, The Atlantic, Wired, The New Yorker, and academic sources on YouTube drama creators, platform metrics, cancel culture, and the YouTube beauty community.

Specific questions:

  1. Does the topic appear to meet WP:GNG as a standalone media-culture or internet-culture topic?
  2. Is the scope framed appropriately around media coverage, commentary channels, platform metrics, and online accountability?
  3. Are there BLP, NOTNEWS, or merge concerns I should address while the draft is waiting for AfC review?

I am especially interested in whether the article's media-culture framing is appropriate, or whether the material would be better handled within existing articles.

Thank you. 21mis (talk) 17:46, 19 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

New Image Request for William Randolph Hearst III

edit

Seeing how William Randolph Hearst III is within the scope of this project, I was writing to see whether its members would be willing to upload a free, high-quality image of said figure for use on his Wikipedia page. The current image in use for the article's lead is of rather poor quality and the only other image available for said figure shows him when he was less than 20 years old. Additionally, if said image were also free, it could likewise be used on the Hearst family page which is also within this project's scope. Therefore, making a new image available for use would be a significant contribution towards at least two pages of interest to this project. Thank you for your consideration. Is there a guide to creating articles about media publications, specifically online (non-periodic) magazines? Faketuxedo (talk) 18:18, 14 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
