Open edit request at Talk:Kaftan - UNESCO infobox for Moroccan Caftan inscription

Flagging an open semi-protected edit request at Talk:Kaftan that may be of interest to project members. The request asks for a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage infobox to be added for Morocco's 2025 inscription 02077, "Moroccan Caftan: art, traditions and skills" -- the only UNESCO inscription where the kaftan is the sole named subject. The article currently carries two such boxes for Algerian inscriptions where the kaftan appears alongside other garments. Individual articles for 1930s, 1940s and 1950s fashion

Hello everyone,

I wanted to let the members of this WikiProject know that I have made what may be a bold decision: creating individual articles for 1930s fashion, 1940s fashion, and 1950s fashion. My reasoning is that, across literature, media coverage and everyday usage, the existing split between "1930–1945" and "1945–1960" feels somewhat unnatural. Most researchers and casual readers alike tend to search for and think about fashion by decade (the 30s, the 40s, the 50s), and the new structure reflects that more intuitive framing.

I invite everyone to contribute their own edits. My hope is that this will be seen as an effort to expand Wikipedia's coverage of fashion history, rather than as an attempt to impose changes on an established structure.

Leather jackets

Hi all - I have been putting some work into the leather jackets article after noticing that it was a Start-class Level 5 vital article. I've primarily dedicated effort to improving the History section, as well as starting to build out In popular culture to include significant examples. However, I'm running out of steam, and the other sections would benefit from attention (likely either adding references or combining existing sections). Anyone feel like trying to improve this? It looks like it was created as a LLM. The sourcing does seem to be legit, however the issue here is that the claims may not match what is in the sourcing. It does appear to be notable, but it will need an almost entire rewrite. I started doing this, but I'm not as savvy with writing about fashion.
